Excellent Aloha Luau / Great for family or honeymooners

Our favorite luau on Ka'anapali. Kids have fun, plenty of good food. The fire dancing is amazing. Highly recommend.

All around good family run luau! Lots of hula. Announcer was fun. Good food. You could tell they performed from their hearts.

Great Show for the Value
Aug 2019
We chose this show for the savings we received for our family. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the show.

This is not a high dollar production like some of the others. But I loved that it is a family-run show. The mom and dad came onstage to tell their story and introduce the 6 kids. They all take part in the show.

We liked the story and hulas for all the different islands of Polynesia. It was lovely!!

Tips: line up early to score a shady spot. The line forms on the sidewalk across from the valet stand and the circular sidewalk. They should offer cold water while you are waiting!! Bring sunglasses in case you are facing the sun. It is bright until sunset

It's a luau.

I guess if tourist things are your bag it is fine. Location is between high rise hotels in a shrouded grass area. That was off putting. Pictured being at least by the water.
Food was meh. Entertainment was fine.
I am not big on canned events with steam tables and a cattle call to get your food. Felt as much like a VFW fundraiser as anything else. I have never paid $110 for that though.
If you need to check this off your list then it does the trick complete with fire dancer but for $110 I can think of a lot better experiences on the island of Maui.

A nice luau experience with family

Overall great experience of a Luau! Food was excellent and so is the show. We had fun watching the luau dancers. The only drawback was that bathrooms are located inside the hotel lobby and it’s only 1 person at a time. The line was so long and we missed part of the show.

Found a very reasonable Groupon for this event - best Muau luau price I could find! Heard this is a newer luau, so may be deals out there. Parking at the hotel was easy, and all staff we encountered were very welcoming. As others mention, the line was a long wait, but it seems like that's true at the others as well. Bring a fan or water to stay cool while you wait. Also arrive early (and wait longer) if you want good seats up front and bring sunglasses or avoid sitting facing the sun. The Groupon came with a photo that was delivered by online link for printing out, but it also meant we were ushered right away to do that and missed our good-seating opportunity - get so try to get your seats first and then then go to photo area if you can. Unlimited drinks and abundant authentic buffet with excellent options for all (ahi, mahi mahi, ribs, teriyaki chicken and great noodles, rice, veg, salads, and rolls.) Even had a kiddo selection area (mac n cheese, chicken strips, etc) for the less adventurous which our table neighbors enjoyed. No kids crafts/activities that I saw (beyond going over to the 'pig unearthing' which drew a crowd,) which I think were advertised but may have been a different luau offering, Performers & performances were excellent with special shout-outs (bdays/anniversaries etc) if you let them know - we did in our reservation and when we arrived, but they missed ours - not a big deal tho. Brought folks and kids up on stage to learn a dance with them - very brief, so have your cameras ready and head up front - trying not to block everyone else's view. The sunset was magical, and we took great pics over by the railing. The performers came out after for photo opps with folks, and the fire dancer spoke at length with my son about his act - great evening up north on the west side of Maui!

No Shade!!!!
Jul 2019 • Family
The food and entertainment were absolutely wonderful. Delicious buffet. As we sat, we were just roasted by the sun. Basically two hours in direct sunlight. So many of the people there are already so sunburned that sitting in the sun is extra uncomfortable. Sweat just pouring down our backs. The choice was face to the sun or back to the sun.
