Best Snorkeling Experience

Our family had a snorkeling day with Captain Woody. It was great from beginning to end. We had an eight year old and a 10 year old with us and he and his crew mate Anthony took time to make sure they knew what to do and were comfortable once they were in the water. They were also both very safety conscious. He provided a nice lunch, also. We all had a lot of fun as he told us about marine life, life on the island, and wonderful stories about boating. My son and his wife used Captain Woody’s before and no doubt he will be the only snorkeling outfit they use when in Maui. We all highly recommend him!

The Best Part of Our Week in Maui!

We just finished a perfect day on the water with Captain Woody and Eric. It was well worth the money.....it’s like three different excursions packed into one wonderful day. We went to two different locations to snorkel, saw multiple whales, swam with turtles, and did a blue water swim. Lunch, snacks, and drinks were all provided. Woody takes a lot of pride in his boat and business. His professionalism shines through by letting you experience the beauty of the water while staying extremely safe. Eric was so kind and knowledgeable and lead us snorkeling. We loved not being a part of a cattle call excursion and just being together on a small group. It was a great way to spend the day with our teenagers.

We spent my 50th birthday with Captain Woody and Brandy, aka: Turbo. They were on time, everything was clean, safe, very professional and they provided us the best day. Woody knew the best places to snorkel, took us whale watching, and knew the history of the island from the many years he has lived here. Each time we snorkeled Brandy was in the water with us. She was our personal guide. She was great pointing out turtles and knew the types of fish. We were provided a very nice lunch, water and juices. I highly recommend this private charter. You will not be disappointed. Best thing I have done in my 10 years of coming here. Mahalo

Best custom trip around

We went out on a charter with Woody 20 years ago and just went again with our 17 and 20 year old kids. It was awesome back then and still awesome today. Woody puts on an extremely personalized / custom trip. His trip is first class and like no other on Maui. Highly recommend!

Whale Soup! FEB 2022

We hired Capt Woody for a day of whale watching based on a very high recommendation from our concierge. We were three couples, two of which had never been to Hawaii and are used to high end experiences. We truly had an amazing day and saw so many whales both up close and from a distance that it far exceeded our wildest hopes. Capt Woody was professional and friendly as was his first mate and really taught us so much. We were comfortable, safe and well taken care of and lunch was perfect! We went out for a day of whale watching and came home with a lifetime of memories. We will definitely go out with Capt Woody again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a more personal experience than one that an overcrowded impersonal competitor might offer. In fact, we are taking our kids there next year and have already spoken to Woody about booking that trip again.

Best private boat trip in Maui!

Our private boat tour with Captain Woody and EZ was the highlight of our incredible trip to Maui. We snorkeled with sea turtles, saw beautiful coral reef, did a little fishing, and whale watched. My goal was to see a whale up close and Woody delivered- two whales right next to our boat (and several more in the distance)! My family of 4 went on lots of adventures in Maui, but we all said sitting at the front of the boat, dangling our feet into the water as we sped along was one of our favorite activities all week. A boat tour with Captain Woody is a must- you won't regret it!

ALWAYS a great time with Capt Woody!

I have booked Woody's boat twice now (once in 2018 and in 2020) and I cannot say enough great things about his expeditions. Both times Woody and his team have been attentive, super fun, knowledgable and flexible in providing a great day full of adventure catered to my needs and wants. My trip yesterday with my fiance involved 2 unique snorkel spots only available by boat, lots of turtles, a reef shark, whales right next to the boat and a double breach! The lunch is great with yummy local breads, meats, tuna salad and fresh fruits & veggies. MJ swam with us and pointed out eels, turtles and named fish for us as we swam. She even took the time to give us tips on our freediving which was so nice. Woody really is such a joy to hang with and talk to, and you can tell he thoroughly enjoys what he does. Every trip I've been on so far with him and his team has been an unforgettable experience. Really can't recommend him enough. I'm looking forward to booking him again when I'm in Maui next! Thanks Capt Woody and MJ, you guys rock :)

Turtles, Dolphins, and Stories on a Beautiful Maui Day

My family had a great time with Captain Woody, Easy, and Maya on a beautiful day in West Maui. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and told lots of great stories. We saw a large pod of dolphins and many other ocean creatures, had a great lunch with fresh local food, and enjoyed cruising on his well-maintained boat. We highly recommend chartering with Woody for a great island adventure.

Making memories with Woody!

Captain Woody, is the man! It had been over 20 years since we visited Maui / Woody and the first thing we thought of when planning our trip was "we got to go see Woody again". This time we brought our boys, ages 18 & 13 and they had a blast. They had never snorkeled before but after a day with Woody and Scooby they were hooked. We saw turtles, crazy looking fish and reef's that were to die for! We also got to fish, hooked up with a small Marlin, but unfortunately did not land it. My fault! All in all, I would highly recommend Woody as the day is yours, fishing, snorkeling, seeing the sites or even cruising. Its like the boat is yours for the day. I can guarantee when we get back to Maui, visiting Woody will defiantly be on our list.

Got to do it all - fantastic trip

First time booking Captain Woody's on a recommendation from a friend. This is the first time trying a 'private charter' on a boat that wasn't packed with 50 people. Worth every penny. My wife and two boys had the best time on the water. Family oriented trip was what I was looking for. We could fish, snorkel, whale watch, we got to see totally empty beaches on West Maui. Woody was great. He took us everywhere. We got to do it all. My boys won't stop talking about it. What a fun adventure.
