We just finished up our fabulous week in Maui. The hands down highlight of our week was our Canoe Surfing trip on Monday morning. We picked We Paddle Maui because all 4 of us could ride together (we did not need to take turns). Fabio greeted us right on time, we were given instructions, and then we headed out. We had 2 guides with us in the boat. The waves were not much that day, but the whales were all around! We had the most incredible whale watching tour (unexpected as we were planning on canoe surfing). We also sea turtles and a monk seal. Our guide encouraged us to jump into the water and listen to the whales “talking” — amazing! At one point, there was a whale 3 feet from our canoe!! It was an unforgettable day. Fabio and crew were awesome (and just as jazzed as we were). We would definitely recommend We Paddle Maui for any sort of outdoor fun. Next time we are in Maui, we will definitely be back! We can’t wait to get the pictures from Fabio to share with friends!!

What to do in Maui? Try the canoe/outrigger experience! This was the best interactive family experience. This was so much fun for all. Is it safe? Yes! Our group was 2 adults and an 8 year old boy and 5 year old girl.
Jen was our guide and she was great! She gave us some great history and shared her love and knowledge of the history of the canoe as well as the area. She is top notch at controlling the craft as well as interacting with the entire family. We saw turtles. We paddled out past the break and even enjoyed some swim time. There was never a moment were I didn't feel safe with our young kids.
Don't miss this experience! Request Jen. Ohh, she even took some pictures for us. Thanks Jen and We Paddle Maui!

Fabio was a fabulous guide! Our outrigger experience was par excellence! We learned how to hold the paddle correctly and to follow the Fabio’s directives to get the best rides on the waves.
Even better than that, we saw a Hawaiian monk seal! It swam within a few feet of us the first time and the second time, it actually bumped our outrigger. What an amazing experience to see such a beautiful endangered creature in the wild.
Added to that, several green sea turtles swam by.
Lastly, Fabio shared so many stories about the Hawaiian culture and facts about sea life.
If you want a memorable experience, book We Paddle Maui.😊

We attended the cultural canoe tour during our weeklong stay on Maui, this excursion was definitely our favorite. We saw sea turtles, a monk seal and sharks. Our guides were so much fun and very knowledgeable. Great for couples and families.

Great outrigger canoe ride! Our guide, Willie, was great. We caught waves and had a wonderful time. Thanks to shipmates, Emily, Brian, and Austin. This is a true Hawaii experience, recommend this to everyone.

Wanted something not to stressful that my family can do together . 2 20somethings and 2 60 somethings. we choose an outrigger canoe tour.
It was great.
First the office to ck in was difficult to find but its there!
Armand dill our guide was all you'd want a guide to be . relaxed confident knowledgeable and witty.
Recommend this as a out door experience in Maui. 5 stars

Booked a 4-person surfing lesson for our family of two adults and two teens. Wasn’t sure what to expect and we were blown away by the awesomeness of this company. First, Fabio, the owner, called 90 minutes prior to confirm we were coming and to get shirt sizes and shoe sizes to speed things along. When we arrived we met Fabio and Sonny, our instructor. Sonny was a great teacher and after 10 minutes of land drills got us out on the water. After two runs, our whole family was riding waves. Great teaching and A whole bunch of runs for our two hours. From the little things like holding our car keys and taking and sending us action videos for free, this is a class operation. Highly recommend!

Thanks to We Paddle Maui for working with our schedule and truly taking care of customers! Instead of just saying, "sorry" or "we're just booked up"...this company made sure we got to canoe surf and enjoy the late afternoon on the ocean! Ekolu was a great guide and teacher for both paddling and the history of the island! The highlight was seeing a MONK SEAL as we waited to catch a wave!

On our 41st wedding anniversary, my wife and I decided to try canoe surfing with We Paddle Maui. It was THE BEST THING we did during our five-day stay on the island. Fabio and Ekolu were terrific, and they worked really hard paddling us beyond the surf-break multiple times to catch waves. I'm a surfer, but my wife has never been interested in trying, so this day was especially wonderful because we shared the thrill of catching waves together. If you do just one activity on Maui during your stay on the island, make sure you do something with We Paddle Maui.

Hugo was a great guide for our outrigger experience. He explained how to hold the paddle, as it was not like a typical paddle it had a slight bend at the end of it. He taught us the Hawaiian commands and explained what each command meant so that we were all in sync when paddling.
He taught us about the area and what we were seeing below us in the ocean as far as the coral and sand.
On the way out to sea we saw the tips of reef sharks in the water and even sea turtles. Once were out in deeper waters several of us jumped out to swim in the ocean, but it was tough trying to get back into the outrigger, good thing Hugo explained how to get back in, and even helped.
The ocean wasn’t working to our benefit as far as the size of the waves, but Hugo had us try several times to get us to catch the smaller waves that were there.
The owner of the Outriggers, Fabio was a great host and they had just brought on Anthony to start taking photos of guests while in the outrigger that you can purchase to capture the memories.
All in all. GREAT company, GREAT people, GREAT Experience !!!

Hi, I am planning to visit hawaii in may end . I dont know how to swim and not exactly a sea person, but my husband loves it. Is it something i can do without knowing to swim? Are the waves to strong and there are chances of canoe toppling down?
