Kai (whose dad started the farm 16 yrs ago) gave a great tour for our party of 8 visiting from Baltimore and SF. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. We tasted fresh coconut water and ate coconut of different ages. The grounds are beautiful. He has lemons, pomegranate, avocado, many types of palms, bromeliads, and even a mango and lychee tree on the premises. It is sad agriculture is not sustainable in Hawaii (hence the demise of the sugar and coconut industries) when land is so expensive. In addition, covid has reduced the amount of labor force for his small farm and brought in wealthy neighbors who are working remotely, but his farm is slowly bouncing back. I hope his farm lasts for many years in his family. I would highly this site if you’re visiting Hawaii.

Loved this agro-tour in learning about the life cycle of a coconut. The owner, Kai or Ky (sorry I don't know the correct spelling) was passionate in explaining the differences in life cycles from young coconuts to mature coconuts, how the process of making authentic coconut milk occurs and the steps required. We also tried the coconut meat from a mature coconut. He did an amazing job in his presentation. This farm is gorgeous and these tours are what the farm survives on. They do not make a living off of the coconuts they grow so please support them and sign up for a tour. Everyone coming to Hawaii should take this tour and understand what does into a farm like this.

Due to the greediness of those around the farm who are consuming more than their fair share of water, Kai and his family nearly lost a part of their farm because of lack of water in the area. This is the driest part of the island. There is plenty of water to go around but for some reason its being diverted to other areas.

The island of Maui sits on an aquifer, so Kai could build a well and have all the water he needs but the cost is outrageous as there is only a few companies on the island who can do this, and of course they can charge whatever they want.

I'd like to start a go fund me page for Kai and his farm to raise the funds needed to have a well drilled on his property. The cost of a well is approx $800k

Pass the word around and lets help this farm be sustainable for generations to come.

We saw this attraction as something different to do on Maui as we've been there many times. We were very pleased. This was a fun and educational tour about growing and eating coconuts. Jeremy, our guide, is very passionate about coconuts. He explained things to us, demonstrated the harvesting of coconuts and gave us several tastes of coconuts in various stages of their growth.

If you want to spend a couple of hours in a scenic, small group attraction to learn about the uses and different tastes of coconuts, I would highly recommend it. It's educational and a majority of the presentation is explaining things so I would not encourage small children - they will get bored.

Thank you Jeremy & Punakea Palms for an enjoyable morning.

Kai did a fantastic job of explaining the history of the coconut, and how it is the "tree of life" for so many around the world. We got the opportunity to drink coconut water and sample coconuts at different stages of maturity. We appreciated that the tour consisted of mostly a discussion at the edge of the tree grove. Walking under mature coconuts is actually dangerous (imagine a small bowling ball dropping on your head from 80 feet up!). Everything was totally safe in the experience, and we enjoyed Kai's candid conversation about the challenges of Maui recovering from the Pandemic... especially the lack of available labor to provide the experience that many visitors are anticipating. Kai's hospitality was off the charts, and we were glad to catch him on one of his last tours before he and his wife welcome their first child. In the tradition of many coconut farmers, he is planting a new tree that will grow with the child, and we got to see it ready to be planted! We wish all the best to Kai, his wife and their soon-to-be first born. Mahalo!

What an informative experience and excellent & engaging tour guide - we learned so much about coconuts and all of its uses, plus got to sample different pieces of the coconut. So fun!

There's a great cafe stand as well in the front - we got the cold brew with coconut milk & coconut sugar, and it was so good. This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip to Maui - so much so that we went back the next day to get more coconut water & coffee from the cafe stand.

Located in Lahaina this coconut farm tour was an awesome way to learn about the life of a coconut and explore more of Maui. Our experience started with fresh coconut milk cold brew coffees and from there we walked the farm and eventually settled in to learn more about coconut life stages. Our guide, Kai, cracked open juvenile coconuts so we could drink fresh coconut water and enjoy the coconut meat before moving on to mature coconuts, highlighting the differences between the two. We learned the process of making coconut milk and also tried mature coconut meat. We had the chance to walk the grounds and were able to enjoy all the coconuts our hearts (and stomachs) desired. They did a wonderful job of following safety protocols with Covid and the small group tour made it intimate and amazing! They also have a very cute gift shop and once the café fully opens will be the perfect spot to enjoy fresh coconut themed snacks and beverages among sweeping views of the ocean and the iconic coconut palms. If you are considering an awesome local experience on the island book this tour ASAP! We can't wait to take our friends.

Our coconut knowledge began with Jeremy sharing his love with the coconut tree. Describing all the benefits coconuts have to offer. The farm has great aesthetics and an amazing view of the ocean! The tour is just an hour so please take an hour out of the trip to give them a visit and give a local farm some love and support.

I really enjoyed this tour and educational experience. Ky, the owner and guide was intelligent and passionate about coconuts and about Hawaii! His explanation of the negative economics of local coconut farming was surprising and sad. But he is hopeful that one day he will produce organic custom coconut oils and products that will be economically viable.

I love learning about the lifecycle of the coconut and the incredible hardiness of the
plant. Coconuts provide us nutritious water, coconut milk. cream, oil, and meat. And they grow all over the world in tropical regions. What an amazing plant!

Folks, this is hard to believe but this gorgeous farm only provides income to the owner-family due to tours, and not due to the coconuts they grow! Help support them and take this tour. You will be glad you did.

Our family, with young children and a baby, really enjoyed our time here.

Jeremy was an awesome guide. Super knowledgeable, passionate about coconuts, and friendly.

Learned a lot.

Would recommend booking a tour if interested in doing something educational and mellow that's off the path (but not inconvenient).

Beautiful property. Would imagine weddings here would be lovely.

Great learning experience for anyone who likes coconuts. Taste the difference from young to old coconuts. Yum. Way better than anything in a grocery store. They also have a little cafe so you could drive up without doing the tour and get some delicious iced coffee with fresh coconut milk or tea with fresh sugar cane house they make. Definitely recommend
