Beautiful farm and informative tour!
May 2021 • Family
So glad we did the farm tour. It was very informative and we’ve leaned so much about coconuts and local culture. The view and drive there is also also beautiful. We love coconut and were glad to learn so much and taste some freshest coconut water and flesh. High recommended - and great to support local business!

Great visit supporting a local farm
May 2021
Had a great time, and learned everything from coconut history to recipes. The grounds were beautiful, and all in support of a small local farm. What was not to like?!

Very Enjoyable Tour - Everything you ever wanted to know about coconuts!
Apr 2021
Not so much a tour, but rather a great presentation about the history of coconuts, the life cycle of coconuts, the benefits of coconuts, etc., etc., all done in a very personal, interactive and fun way. Interesting tasting and drinking. We had a great lunch in Lahaina, then headed up to the farm (about ten minutes away) for the tour. Kyle (hope I got this right) was incredibly nice, personable and knowledgeable. Looking for a different experience to round out your Maui visit. This is it!

Move over banana...coconuts are the perfect food!
Apr 2021 • Couples
This was one of those “Who Knew” experiences that was truly fascinating. Kyle does a great job of explaining why the coconut tree is one of the most evolved species and why it has survived for millions of years....we sampled everything from coconut coffee to fresh coconut water and everything in between. Don’t leave Maui without taking this tour!

Great Agritourism
Apr 2021
Loved this agro-tour in learning about the life cycle of a coconut. The owner, Kai or Ky (sorry I don't know the correct spelling) was passionate in explaining the differences in life cycles from young coconuts to mature coconuts, how the process of making authentic coconut milk occurs and the steps required. We also tried the coconut meat from a mature coconut. He did an amazing job in his presentation. This farm is gorgeous and these tours are what the farm survives on. They do not make a living off of the coconuts they grow so please support them and sign up for a tour. Everyone coming to Hawaii should take this tour and understand what does into a farm like this.

Due to the greediness of those around the farm who are consuming more than their fair share of water, Kai and his family nearly lost a part of their farm because of lack of water in the area. This is the driest part of the island. There is plenty of water to go around but for some reason its being diverted to other areas.

The island of Maui sits on an aquifer, so Kai could build a well and have all the water he needs but the cost is outrageous as there is only a few companies on the island who can do this, and of course they can charge whatever they want.

I'd like to start a go fund me page for Kai and his farm to raise the funds needed to have a well drilled on his property. The cost of a well is approx $800k

Pass the word around and lets help this farm be sustainable for generations to come.

A great tour, and more.
Apr 2021
I really enjoyed this tour and educational experience. Ky, the owner and guide was intelligent and passionate about coconuts and about Hawaii! His explanation of the negative economics of local coconut farming was surprising and sad. But he is hopeful that one day he will produce organic custom coconut oils and products that will be economically viable.

I love learning about the lifecycle of the coconut and the incredible hardiness of the
plant. Coconuts provide us nutritious water, coconut milk. cream, oil, and meat. And they grow all over the world in tropical regions. What an amazing plant!

Folks, this is hard to believe but this gorgeous farm only provides income to the owner-family due to tours, and not due to the coconuts they grow! Help support them and take this tour. You will be glad you did.

Crazy for Coconuts
Apr 2021 • Couples
Located in Lahaina this coconut farm tour was an awesome way to learn about the life of a coconut and explore more of Maui. Our experience started with fresh coconut milk cold brew coffees and from there we walked the farm and eventually settled in to learn more about coconut life stages. Our guide, Kai, cracked open juvenile coconuts so we could drink fresh coconut water and enjoy the coconut meat before moving on to mature coconuts, highlighting the differences between the two. We learned the process of making coconut milk and also tried mature coconut meat. We had the chance to walk the grounds and were able to enjoy all the coconuts our hearts (and stomachs) desired. They did a wonderful job of following safety protocols with Covid and the small group tour made it intimate and amazing! They also have a very cute gift shop and once the café fully opens will be the perfect spot to enjoy fresh coconut themed snacks and beverages among sweeping views of the ocean and the iconic coconut palms. If you are considering an awesome local experience on the island book this tour ASAP! We can't wait to take our friends.

Very cool little tour!
Apr 2021 • Couples
Super great little tour where you not only get to learn about how coconuts are grown, their place in ancient tropical life and how the seeds are spread, but we have a chance to taste them in their various stages of growth. Beautiful grounds and the son of the owner did some cool demonstrations of how to open them up. We even got straws to drink right from the fruit. Do stop by - totally worth it!

Great tour with Kai
Apr 2021 • Couples
We enjoyed touring Punakea Palms with Kai. He has both knowledge and passion for his farm and coconuts. Enjoyed sampling coconuts at each stage and participating in a local eco tour. Definitely worth departing the typical tourist area for this local farm.
