About Aloha Outdoors Boat Rentals
If your looking to Rent a Boat on Maui, be the Captain and explore without waiting in long lines, you've come to the right place. Aloha Outdoors Boat Rentals powered by SeaEscape is the only bare boat rental operation on the island of Maui. We operate out of the Kihei Boat Ramp which is on the border of Wailea and Kihei, only a 20 minute drive to the world renown Molokini Caldera Crater. We utilize 3 late model Glacier Bay 2240SX Renegade open bow boats equipped with 2 Yamaha 115hp 4 stroke motors. Plenty of power and redundancy to keep your party safe and happy. We've been boating here all our lives so we know the weather and area very well and will give you a very thorough orientation prior to departure so you will be ready to take in all the sites and come back safely. We are a sustainable company that contributes to our partner non-profit, BecomeCircular.org. As community leaders, we adhere to a "be pono" policy and we always live with aloha. Please give us a try!!

want to start with mentioning that Chris who helped us was a great guy. He tried his best but it's not his fault that the company doesn't operate efficiently. I DO NOT recommend renting from this place. 1. They asked us to arrive 15 mins before our check in time or else they will charge us $50, we did, THEY arrived 30 mins late. 2. They loaded us on the boat and the boat wouldn't steer, the steering wheel needed oil topped off and they didn't have it on site so they had to drive all the way to their shop to get oil. At this point we are 1 hour past our scheduled departure. 3. We departed at 9:20AM and if you know Maui, you'd need to be at Molokini as early as possible most days or the winds will be unbearable. 4. That's what happened with us, we arrived at Molokini at 9:45 and by the time we tied the boat to the designated buoy, the wind picked up and the waves became more intense and it became a dangerous situation for our kids. We noticed that all vessels started to leave and we were there all alone. We turned around and fought the big waves all the way back to meet them at the dock at around 11 even though we had the boat from 8 to 2. I understand that they can't control the weather, but we could've at least got a little value for our money if they were on time, we would've snorkeled in Molokini for at least an hour before we had to go back due to the weather and we wouldn't have felt bad about it since really that was all we wanted to do. Chris took $100 off the $800 bill and offered services that we really didn't use, but we paid over $700 including fees to boat back and forth from and to Molokini for 2 hours. Not worth it at all. Thats exactly what happened. This was back in June and I just had a chance to leave a review to warn others of this shady business. Sorry to hear about Chris. I guess you lost the only ethical person at your company. The other reviewers calling you a liar were accurate. AVOID this business at all costs!

Fantastic day on the water. Spent our 5 hour cruise snorkeling around Molokini and whale watching. We had some big wind waves and a swell from the south and the boat handled incredibly, much better than our Boston Whaler back home. Boat had great layout, shows it’s age but perfect for our family of 6. Was recommended by and friend and will do the same if looking to rent a boat for the day. Chris was very professional and courteous.

What a day and one that exceeded our expectations. We have boated in many different parts of the U.S. and have owned a boat for more than 30 years. Found Aloha Outdoors and didn’t hesitate to book a trip despite a few negative reviews. As boaters, we know breakdowns happen. As for our experience, we arrived ten minutes before our scheduled time. Chris and the boat were waiting for us. He couldn’t have been more professional and easy going, we enjoyed our short time together. He even had our snorkeling gear, a last minute request an hour before departure. A brief orientation and we’re off to crater. Beautiful water, found the mooring ball, tied off and spent a few hours on the hook snorkeling and enjoying the beauty that surrounded us. When it was time to return to the dock, we spoke to Brandon before heading in as it was a bit rough. No issues and like our interaction with Chris, Brandon couldn’t have been more professional and nice. We chatted a bit and off we went with memories for a lifetime. Our next trip will include our 3 kids, a boat rental or two will be on the agenda as they love boating as much as we do! Thanks Aloha Outdoors for a truly wonderful experience and day! Joe 300 SeaRay

It is unfortunate that only 1 in 4 write reviews. We service thousands of happy customers each year…Tim, the boat left on 2 engines, one had a malfunction (as boats sometimes do) while you were using it. You were never in jeopardy because you had a second engine, marine radio, cell phones, life vests, flares and other safety gear…and the boat brought you back it without issue. Then, like some drunken sailor, you start cursing everyone including your family. Your kids were even embarrassed and apologetic for your behavior. You received a full refund and even offered a free rental a different day…you spit in my face. Some customers are just jerks. We go thru a coast guard inspection twice annually and always pass with high marks. Don’t trust guy’s review. Just an angry old man.
