- Judy H3 contributionsGeorge made this tour funHad a nice day visiting the brewery..was able to have an appetizer before we went on our brewery tour. George did an amazing job showing us all aspects of the processes that go into making their products. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. We were the first full tour after the devastating Lahina fire. They need us to come back and enjoy their beautiful island…there is so much to enjoy.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 16, 2024
- John BColumbus, Ohio8 contributionsGreat HH place! We visited MBC Kihei with another couple. The four of us enjoyed pupus and drinks one lovely afternoon. The restaurant uses a QR code system to order drinks and food. The code is on your table and you need only note the table number to ensure quick delivery of your order. We went on logo Wednesday; you wear anything (tshirt, hat) with MBC logo and you get $2 off your drinks all day! Good day to go. We did have some initial difficulty getting the logo discount set up on our iPhone and Tess helped us straight-away to get it set up correctly. She was very helpful and made sure the whole process was a smooth one. If she’s not working, always look for someone working who’s wearing a “red shirt” as these are the ones who have the authority to correct a. Errors on your bill. We will definitely return. Pizza is a good option during happy hour, as it’s half-price. Lastly, we were treated to live music that afternoon, sounded great!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 21, 2024

- Brandon J2 contributionsBrewery tour was fantastic, as were the beersVisited this brewery for a tour after being rudely denied at Ocean Vodka, and had the best experience touring the facility, while learning so much about their beer production process. Coolest thing was how this company operates with sustainability and the environment in mind and can see how it’s considered in every decision. The tour guide, George, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Also, all of the beers were delicious and bought several packs throughout my week out in Maui.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 4, 2024
- Eldridge MSeattle, Washington38 contributionsA Maui Staple - You Must TryThis wasn’t my wife and I’s first time here but it was the first time we came with a young child (bringing our 4 year old). You don’t always assume a Brewery is family friendly but it is here! We had no issues bringing our 4 year old with us and she enjoyed the live music and the kids menu. We had a reservation which helped with our wait time and did some pre meal drinking on the front patio while waiting for our seat to be ready. I had a few different beers and hard to name them all but you’ll enjoy whatever your beer flavor profile is. The food was delicious and pro tip- go on a night where there is live music.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 17, 2024

Of course their beer is outstanding. So many choices for hop heads and sour fans. The diverse menu has something for everyone. The ranch chicken sandwich was very tasty as was the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich had so much flavor.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 26, 2024

Their selection is so great that I recommend doing a flight for at least one of your bar selections. Food was unique and well prepared. - ScottD58Kirkland, Washington1,859 contributionsWatch Football on Multiple Big Screen TVsArriving about 11am we grabbed bar seats with unobstructed views of 2 Big screen TVs. The bartender took rivalries requests, displaying 2 different NFL matchups while simultaneously mixing cocktails and drawing draughts. The game announcers were muted, instead modern music filled the air. By the 2nd half, half the crowd was swaying to the sounds of Stick Man while cheering on their team’s X’s and O’s. Seahawks covered the spread over the Cardinals like Chips and Salsa. While the Niners beat da Bears with beet hummus and carrot sticks. Sportsman will adore Maui brewing. I think the only negative is the price of beer. I would have had a couple of them, but at 9 bucks a "pint" (looked smaller than a pint to me), I only had one.Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten January 16, 2025

A brewery that offers more than beer! Maui Brewing company is a great little spot to bring friend and family while you are on the island of Maui. The brewery is up over the highway that runs down Kihei. When we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised. The brewery is massive and it has indoor and outdoor seating. When we arrived there was a five minute wait so we went into the tasting room to try some beers before dinner. There is a little outdoor area there to sit out and relax. Once our table was ready we were escorted out to our table which was outside. Nice cool night on the island. The outside has picnic tables as the seats. There is string lighting up and they did a great job decorating the entire brewery. They had a guy out there playing guitar and singing classic favorites.
When you sit at the table you can the QR code and it has your table number on it. You order your meals and drinks through the website. It is a different thing to use it but once you order one thing it gets easier. It starts a tab for you and it allows you to tip when you close out your total bill at the end. So good wise I thought the food was very good. I ordered the jalapeño bacon burger with siracha fries. They were both excellent my wife ordered the chicken sandwich with garlic fries. It was pretty good. The beers were good as well from the ipas to the the pineapple wheat. The last thing I wanted to mention is the service. The servers were on point! Order a beer from the app and it’s in your hand quick. Everything worked like that all evening. It’s a place I definitely recommend.

We were four for an early dinner and we knew going in this was not going to be a fantastic culinary experience, rather we knew we were going for the experience. MBC is a huge facility in Kihei and if you are in Maui by all means if you plan to visit a MBC location visit this one and not the one in Lahaina. Walking in you are given the rundown of how things work and then you order your food and find a table. Again the food was pretty average, but one of our guests loved the beers. He had a light to dark flight and also a Bikini Blonde Lager. The fish tacos were pretty decent, the pizza on the plain side. MBC also sells six packs, growlers and kegs and we had a fun time doing the math to see if a keg at home would be worth it versus buying the equivalent amount of cans and bottles! Cool too, back on the mainland we recently saw a MBC cap in a car locally!

We had a great tour with George. He mentioned things we haven't heard on brewery tours before. For $20 it was a good time spent and included 4 tastings of their flagship beer. We stayed for lunch and more beer

If you enjoy a cavernous, cold, sterile atmosphere, waiting on yourself and paying to do it, not to mention sub-par food, this is the place for you!
As many of you are aware, the wildfire in Lahaina left people there without housing, and without jobs. So Maui Brewing decided to eliminate more jobs and have the customers do those jobs for free. Great, greedy corporate move.
You get to pull up the menu online on your phone and learn to navigate the menu instead of enjoying your company and the views. Then when you get tired of that, you can pick whatever just to get that over with and put in you own order on your phone! You even get to pick all of your condiments and sides, except that isn't what you will get! And yes, I entered the order correctly. But don't think about sending it back to the kitchen, because that option isn't available on your phone and a server isn't available either.
So after eating what they decide to serve you, you get to pay for what you didn't order on your phone, including a 20% mandatory tip for the service you didn't receive and a staff that doesn't much exist.
Not only is this idea of "service" not service, it has eliminated much needed jobs for people on Maui and along with choice, a dining experience and a chance to support and interact with locals.
Maui Brewing Company had donation boxes set up in the restaurant to help the people of Lahaina. Great! But the irony of that wasn't lost on me. Maybe they should provide jobs to people instead.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Service
We recently attempted to celebrate a milestone 70th birthday at Maui Brewing Company, a special occasion involving three families, including kids, and some out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we’d hoped for.
Despite calling multiple times to make a reservation and leaving a voicemail, the staff claimed they never received our message. This led to a long wait for a table. Once seated, the service went downhill quickly.
Our waiter insisted on strict seating arrangements and would only split the bill four ways, regardless of how many families were dining. He was unwilling to accommodate even simple suggestions, like letting the kids sit together. When we politely tried to offer solutions, he responded rudely, dismissing our input with, “That’s the way it’s going to be.”
The manager provided some assistance, but the waiter’s attitude remained hostile and unprofessional. To top it off, a mandatory 20% gratuity was added to the bill, which felt undeserved given the service.
Ultimately, the experience was so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. Thankfully, our evening was saved by an impromptu beach picnic, which turned out to be the highlight of our trip.
We were excited to visit Maui Brewing Company, but this experience left a sour taste. For a restaurant of this caliber, we expected much better service and flexibility, especially for a group celebrating such a significant event.
Obviously they don’t care about good service or their customers.

Went to the brewery for dinner in Kihei. The ordering system is horrible. You are supposed to scan a QR code then order but it wouldn't work. You can order from the bar station for table delivery, which most were doing. Menu didn't match the TV Screen menu. Food was so-so at best. Fish on my salad was completely dry. Food arrived without utensils. After 5 minutes, my husband went to waiter station and grabbed some. Not sure how you would order in this system if you had allergies like I do. Seems society is moving more and more towards less human contact and it noticeably takes away from the dining experience here. The Coconut Stout is outstanding but you can buy it at the stores and other dining establishments. We never went back.

I love that this place is very close to where I live on Maui. We were very excited recently that for 2 weeks in a row we had actual table service when we took our out of town visitors, We also love the live entertainment. The staff is always friendly and helpful to us. BUT, They have once again gone back to self ordering from the table or up at the bar and the menu is still very overpriced. With actual table service I did not mind the higher prices. For the same price of food we can go to a Wailea restaurant and have full service and live entertainment. The Tourist love it and for that reason they will continue to do well. Not so much with locals.

We visited this place two nights running at about 6pm. On both occasions there were clearly at least 10 unoccupied tables outside. On both occasions however we were told there would be a minimum 20 minute wait to enter. We queried this and the girl in the door eventually conceded they did not have enough staff. We requested that we’d go to the bar and carry our own drinks. This was refused. This is a ludicrous way to run a bar. This in effect our local in Maui but we will not be returning.

Was pretty disappointed with our visit in Waikiki. Still have to order off the QR code. Paid over $20 for the fish & chips which consisted of two small fish nuggets. Our food got here before our beers. Food was decent. The serving size was horrible. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Do I order another beer? Nope. Can’t wait that long. Nobody ever came by to check on us if we needed anything else. Sadly, we won’t be back. This was the last time. Hope you all fix your shortcomings. Forget tipping. We had to order our own food. Only thing the server did was deliver. Where’s the service?? Good luck MBC.

We went to the MBC with family and old friends for Thanksgiving dinner. RIley our server was excellent and the food was good, Unfortunately the music from the guitar player was so loud that it was impossible to talk. His singing style was screaming and yelling. . His playing consisted of banging out chords on th guitar. The tunes were unrecognizable through the muffled and blasted out amplification system. We asked the management to reduce the volume but had no luck. NIce place, but don't go here if you hope to talk and listen.

Yes, there was a great hummus variety plate as well as nachos that could be ordered without meat. Finally, there was at least one salad option as well.

I took the Tour in May of this year, and yes they have light beer, they have one called the Blonde Bikini, also at the tasting portion of the tour we got to sample a light beer infused with Pineapple and my Sister who does not like beer even liked it.

Do you host large group gatherings? Would it be inside or out? What food service would be offered for a dinner meal?
Written October 1, 2016
There are two locations. We visited the main brewery near Kihei . It is for adult drinking only. The cafe near Lahaina is better suited for parties.
