Whenever we drove through Kihei we noticed the activity at Kamaole Beach. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and there were picnics, volleyball games, surfing and fun had by locals and visitors. Looks like the place to go!

Beach is long and great for walking. Surf is usually mild here and a great place to start out stand up paddling. Lifeguards on duty. The "park" is shaded with picnic tables and a volley ball net. Outdoor showers and rest rooms available. Additional parking...More

Great for all the beaches to be public, so nice to be able to hang out at any beach. Just relax in the sand.

Like every beach in Maui, clean and clear. We enjoyed walks during the day and night. We were here during the "Hurricane" that never happened but the beach was excellent. Come lay out for a couple of hours, swim until you want to snorkel and...More

We went here a few times during our time on Maui while staying down in Wailea. It gave us great views, plenty of shade and is long and wide enough for a stroll down the beach. I don't know how great it is for surfing...More

The water was great and went snorkeling right off the shore. Saw two turtles and lots of fishes. Highly recommended. Even with the hurricane warning, didn't get big waves.

2 min. walk from our Condo we were staying in. Cure tiny little beach, great for kids. We saw some of the most spectacular sunsets here. If you're in Kihei, check it out!

This was our beach for the week, and we made sure to get there everyday. Each day, there was something new from the beach...sea turtles one day, fantastic waves another, and lifeguards who keep you updated as to any change in the forecast and water....More

We always visit this beach when we go to Maui. It’s a strip of beach along Kihei are that has soft sand to walk on and a beautiful view of the sunset.

Lots of sand when we were there in Feb 2018 but there have been years when the entire beach washed away due to heavy surf. You'd have to be unlucky for that to happen.
