Our experience with B & B Scuba was outstanding. We signed up for a 2-dive trip to Molakini, an underwater scooter (DPV) dive and we rented scuba gear for a self-guided shore dive. The interactions with the B & B team were stellar and we never once felt unsupported along the way. Their boat, captain and dive leader were all great. They did not take snorkelers on our trip, so we ended up diving two locations at the awesome Molakini crater island. The scooter (DPV) dive out of Makena Landing was our first ever scooter experience and OMG I was howling and giggling the whole time it was so fun. We were able to get to 2 different reefs a quarter-mile plus offshore where the fish presence was unmatched. You have to try it! I highly recommend B & B and would go there again and again.

Did a 2 tank dive with B&B last Sunday at Molokini crater -- I highly recommend them. The whole crew was great and made me feel like I was in good hands throughout the trip. The divemaster took the group took us through some really neat caves on the dives and pointed out interesting sea life including a shark and a snowflake eel. The rented equipment was top notch.
Safety, great attitudes, and detailed knowledge of the dive sites; everything you'd want from a dive company and its staff was delivered by B&B.
I'm an experienced diver and highly recommend B&B.

Leven, Glenn and Carl were all awesome!
My son (12 years old) and some friends needed 1 last dive to get certified and Glenn did a wonderful job helping them complete their PADI certification. He was very thorough and attentive, making sure that they set up their gear properly and knew what to expect before going into the water. He then had them run through their remaining skills, making sure to have them repeat them until they got them just right. I was impressed with the amount of patience and professionalism that he expressed.
After they were certified, we were able to all go on a dive together. Since we were a large group, we were able to do a private charter. It was so much fun! They explained what type of marine life we would expect to see and pointed things out when we were under water. Some of us were lucky enough to see a whitetip reef shark!
If you are looking for a dive shop with divers who know the island and are fun, and at the same time professional, this is the place to visit!

We booked a 2 tank trip for a Monday in early July. We were to meet at 5:30am. On the prior Saturday morning I was informed that my dad was about to die (as he did several hours later that day). While I was on other related calls, my wife called B&B at roughly 8:30am... 45 hours prior to our scheduled meeting, notably 3 hours short of the 48 hour cancelation period. If the policy is 48 hours, no exceptions, so be it, but the back-and-forth with the manager (who claimed I was lying about my dad; also claimed it was 36 hours not 45 hours) was disgusting and the follow-on texts with the "majority owner" were apparently disingenuous.
Obviously my family didn't get to dive as we were quickly back in Texas and then on to Oklahoma. The dive instructors are probably great but the company itself is troubled. I would look elsewhere when in Maui.

I am very sorry about the loss of your father. You and I spoke directly via text message. I was dealing with the aftermath of what you were currently dealing with. I was under the impression that we had a clear understanding of that. I had personally told you that you would be financially taken care of asap. I also indicated that I would be looking into this matter more in depth when I returned home. I literally got back to my house this morning at 2 AM on a canceled then 2x delayed flight the following day.
While texting you I was in the process of removing furniture and clothing from my fathers home. As clearly stated I was dealing with the aftermath. I made it very clear that I was dealing with personal matters that included my parents and that I would be getting with you as soon as I got back. In the meantime I directed Managment to reimburse your credit card which they did. I do not know how long that takes to get from our system back to your credit card but I implore you to contact your credit card company then text me or call me as you have my personal cell phone number.
I do know that you were going through a lot. We spoke about that but I told you not to worry about the situation to focus on your family. You mentioned cancellation times and 48 hours prior vs our policy. I made it clear that the cancellation period was not relevant in your situation. I also have every single one of our text messages and all correspondence that I personally had with you.
Again, I am incredibly sorry about your family‘s loss. There are certain times in that I need to focus on my personal life. That comes very few and far between but considering the fact that I was dealing with something so close to home at the same time that you were I figured that you had some understanding of that matter. I also understand emotions run high during situations of this nature so I was completely understanding.
As of this morning, now that I have returned to my home. The other aspect of the situation is being looked into. I have a difficult time believing anybody would state that anybody was being dishonest about that type of situation but I give you my word that will be thoroughly looked into from me personally.
I apologize in any delay of you receiving your credits on your credit card but again you were very aware of what I was also dealing with and I thought we had an understanding that it would be taken care of as quickly as I could provide my attention to that matter and it was.
I really do hope he let you guys come back to Maui and that we can meet in person so that we can make sure that any misunderstanding has been fully put a bed.
Most importantly I am truly sorry for your families loss.

I have been doing business with B&B scuba for 25 years. In a short period of time the new owner of the company has managed to drive the quality of service and it's reputation into the toilet. For example he overcharged me double for my air fills for 5 months on my credit card and charged me twice for 3 months that I had already paid for. I have been trying to get him to refund my credit card but he refuses. Anyone doing business with them you should keep a very close count of your air fills because if he did this to me after 25 years he will do it to you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. With that said the employees who work there have been very nice and helpful. Unfortunately for them it is the guy at the top who ruins a companies reputation and Maui is a small island !!!!

With all due respect sir, I spoke with you directly on the phone. To be very clear with you we requested copies of your “canceled checks” that you stated that you have. We still to this day have not received a single cancel check. We have gone through our bank accounts multiple times and there is no deposit from you in a check format. As much as we appreciate your business, I have to professionally and respectful disagree with your negative, false, inaccurate accusation. We have a great relationship with the new owner that you sold your company to and we are very excited to continue our business relationship with him.
I also will continually look forward to you providing those cancel checks. We are absolutely happy to refund you for any chargers that may be in accurate. We reached out to you for over 60 days with absolutely no correspondence in return regarding your outstanding bill. Again as clearly stated multiple times. Please provide the canceled checks (that we never received nor deposited) that you were stating that you have copies of and your situation would be rectified.
We really appreciate your time and business we hope that you enjoy your time now that you’re onto your next
chapter.

Had a great experience with the staff at B&B Scuba. Just a little trouble finding the boat in the dark at Kihei boat ramp, but after that smooth sailing. The crew was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic without being patronizing (which we have experienced elsewhere). We departed early to be the first at Monokini and saw several whales while we waited for the sun to rise. More whale watching on our surface interval. Being among the first at Molokini is fabulous without all the crowds diving over the same reefs at the same time. We highly recommend B&B.

A great morning of diving; booked online in advance and was able to show up morning of and have all my gear set and ready to go on the boat.
Captain Jeff was knowledgeable and fun to go out with, and the dive leaders Carl and Mark kept a great handle on what seemed like a larger group with no issues. Well led dives, catering to multiple skill levels.
Would dive with them again when back on Maui!

Back on the island and time to dive again! Literally hours after landing, I was on the boat with the best dive masters and viewing incredible underwater life.
B&B has a way of making everyone feel comfortable. From the highly skilled, frequent diver to the just certified, as Matt loves to say, "breath, kick, follow me."
These guys make every dive magical! My best suggestion is to book multiple dives, you will not regret spending your mornings with these guys and the ocean gods have lots to share in beautiful Maui!
I am heading back in just a few weeks and so ready to have many mornings blowing bubbles with these guys!

I had the pleasure of diving with B&B almost daily during my month long visit to Maui. We called several shops in the area, to ask just shy of a million questions, prior to visiting the island. Our 10 year old daughter was super excited to get certified during our trip. We selected another shop and planned for her to get certified with them. After being on the island for a few days and they jerked us around about certification process we found B&B and called them. The next day, they has us on the boat and Stan was working with her one-on-one (something the other shop refused to do). Stan made sure my daughter was completely comfortable and confident with her skills. His calm demeanor was exactly what she needed.
Brad and Blesi have the best staff. Christina in the shop was excellent with all her communication and getting us booked for dive trips. Shane, Matt and Stan made each morning on the boat and trip underwater amazing. I really appreciated that B&B is the first dive boat out in the morning (prime pick of all the spots) and gets you back to the boat landing with plenty of time to enjoy all the other beauty of the island.
Do yourself a favor, book several dives with these guys while you are in town, you will enjoy all the beautiful dive sites and the great staff! Thank you B&B for making our trip unforgettable!

I learned to dive with B&B this last week, and am now two days diving past my certification. I am addicted, and it’s in no small part due to these folks. HIGHLY professional, and yet very fun and really good hearted people. Safety is no accident with them, and my wife and I felt in good hands from the start. They are rich on local experience and senses of humor, and deep on diving experience. I will tell everyone I know about these guys, because it’s been apparent they are way above the other boats and crews in creating the best experience. We were first to every site, and had many of them to ourselves.

Very impressed with the crew. Carl and Ronald were excellent dive masters. Levin is a very skilled captain. All the team members are very knowledgeable with attention to detail and safety. I worked as a diving professional for many years and was very impressed with the service this team provided. They made it a very fun experience.

From B and B Scuba's website: "We pick sites based upon conditions, diver skill, and repeat customer preference." It's hard to answer this question because when we were there we were specifically looking to do Molokini. You might consider giving them a call to see. I think that when we went they had a form you fill out to request what sites you wanted to do. Hope that is helpful!

I would suggest 3-4 days ahead if you are looking for specific dates. We reserved by visiting the shop as we were flexible which days we wanted to dive while in the area. There was pretty limited availability 2-3 days out (they only have the one boat I think and both days we dove it was pretty full) so if you need to book specific days booking a few days in advance is a good idea.
