Spent lots of time boogie boarding and reading on this beach! Although this beach is not huge, and sand is plentiful, there are few rocks, and the waves are perfect for enjoyment (but not overwhelming).

This is a popular beach, known locally as Kam 2. It has restrooms, lifeguards, outdoor rinsing showers and a free parking lot (which is usually full). There are also grassy areas under the trees with picnic tables. On the minus side it is right on the busy South Kihei Road. The beach is gently shelving soft sand. Across the water... More

This is a very accessible beach popular for sunset viewing. It has lifeguards, big waves, and soft sand. There are picnic tables in the shade for enjoying any meal. It is across the street from some great eateries, with take out food. There are rock reefs on the left end of the beach that are good for snorkeling. It is... More

We were staying nearby and went to all kinds of other beaches before coming here. This beach had everything we wanted. I wish we just came here, and relaxed more during our short visit.

Easy access right off South Kihei Road. 20 yards from parking to being on the sand. Picnic tables in the shade for lunch. Walk right into the ocean and enjoy the waves. Fairly tame but fun body surfing. Good spot to take a family with younger children.

Clean beautiful peaceful beach located near shops and restaurants. No one bothers you and the sand is nice. You can walk for a long while along the beach.

This beach is a convenient location with a lifeguard on duty. The lifeguard increases your safety with notifications when visitors are unsafe in the water. The location is across the street from a small strip mall and several restaurants. Great place to sit on the wall for sunsets.

Walked over from the Maui coast hotel in December 2014. Although we weren't here for any activities, we enjoyed our walk here one morning. Saw some sea turtles off the shore of the beach. Had some playground areas on large green spaces for children to enjoy. Nice golden sand beach. Beach was pretty busy, but not overly crowded. Depending if... More
