This is a gorgeous beach in Maui which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed, but be careful because the water can get quite treacherous - I got seriously dumped here (even though my photos don't show massive waves). You also need to be careful with the rip because it can start pulling you towards the rocks which makes it more dangerous, but even so we loved this beach and had a lot fun with our boogie boards and body surfing. I also really appreciated the fact that there was a lifeguard on duty and a beautiful park with lawn you could sit and have picnics, outdoor showers and toilets and parking nearby too. I love this part of Maui and highly recommend going to Kamaole Beach III (or any of the three Kamaole beaches)!!

We went to this beach park on a Sunday so it was quite busy, but we were able to find space away from people. There were a lot of families with young children.

There is a large free car park, a play park and lifeguards on the beach. The sand is lovely and there are some large rocks as well so you need to be careful. The waves were really strong and it was very windy so we didn’t go in the water but there were plenty of people enjoying it.

It was also high tide so it was fairly narrow at that point, so we didn’t go at the best time but it still a lovely beach.

This was our first night in Maui, and we walked from our Airbnb to the beach to enjoy sunset. We sat and enjoyed seeing whales, and the gorgeous sunset. There weren’t a ton of people on the beach either so it was peaceful. We really liked staying in Kihei close to this beach so we could walk here at night to see the sunset.

This beach was within walking distance of our condo, and we went several times. The snorkeling is great in the morning. Enter on the left side and swim south toward the boat launch near the shore. We saw several turtles. The waves were fun in the afternoon, and great sunsets in the evening.

I’ve been to Kam 3 many times because we stay very close to it. I have seen some really amazing things snorkeling on the point between Kam 2 & 3 and also on the south part of the beach toward the boat ramp. Turtles everywhere! The beach has showers, restrooms, playground equipment and handicapped access to the beach. Many local families go to Kam 3 for birthday parties and special occasions.

I've been here multiple times over the years and always love it. It can be "touristy" but that doesn't matter to me. The water is warm and soft, waves are minimal (usually), sand is lovely, and occasionally there are sea turtles that hang out nearby. This is one of my favorite spots to swim, but I love all of the Kamaole beaches. And the expansive stretch of lawn just above this beach is also a great place to hang out, and a perfect spot to set up an evening picnic and watch the sunset. Maui is magic!

This was our "house beach", across from our condo. Even if it wasn't so close, we would have come here. The snorkeling is phenomenal. SO.MANY.TURTLES. This was our go-to turtle beach. You see a ton snorkeling, from the beach, swimming. Not a huge beach, but didn't feel crowded, especially compared to Keawakapu. Easy stroll up to 808 Deli to grab lunch. Like most beaches, the wind kicked up after noon, so we made it a habit to get there around 8 to get in a good four hours. Fantastic beach park for sunset viewing.

Seemed like more local hangout spot than tourists at the picnic tables (almost like a communal living room). Available parking, showers, restrooms, shady grass areas. but the vibe was not as sparkly/tourtisy: some loud locals with open beer, speakers, smoking and weed.

Our family decided to spend a day here after bypassing a few other beaches along the way. The sand was soft and the beach wasn't too rocky like some of the others. The water is clear and beautiful and you can see a variety of fish if you bring your snorkel gear. There was a turtle siting when we were there, and I've read that it's common to see them at this beach. Can be crowded on the weekend, but we were able to get comfortable with our umbrella and chairs.

This beach was located right across the street from our condo. So we went there every single day. Beautiful beach. Pretty busy with people, but that was ok. Someone created a gorgeous sand display on the rocks.
