We stopped by to look for goggles for our youngest, and a mask, snorkel, and boots for our teen, who was doing dive certification later in the week with a different group. The staff provided great customer service. They were friendly, attentive, and helpful, fitting our son and answering all our questions. They even referred us elsewhere when they didn’t have available dive slots for the day we were hoping to squeeze in another dive. We appreciated that they didn’t charge us for the 2 pairs of goggles we selected for the kids since we ended up getting sun glasses in addition to the gear. It was a nice touch!

Staff was extremely friendly and the dives were immaculate! Deborah was an incredible dive guide and provided an incredible experience, we saw turtles, spotted eagle rays, octos and other beautiful animals, would highly recommend this dive company for a tour at the 5 caves!

What a great dive operation with super DMs. Tim and Stephen were the most qualified and professional Divemasters I’ve even dived with.

TERRIFIC SCUBA EXPERIENCE.
We had a great time with Logan at Ka’anapali. We went to airport beach and Mala pier. Logan was experienced, attentive, and showed us frog fish, zebra fish, multiple eels, white tipped reef sharks, and more turtles than we could count. Mala pier is probably one of the best diving spots in the hemisphere and we’d 10000% dive with this crew again. Thanks!

My husband and I did the Makena Landing twilight and night shore dive on our last trip to Maui and it was super exciting! We had snorkeled the area previously and the aquatic life was completely different at night. We saw large turtles, a timid reef shark, crabs (including a jeweled anemone crab and a 7-11 crab), shrimp, plankton, nudibranchs, lobster, some new species of eels etc we haven't seen anywhere else on the islands. Our guide Kevin was great about setting expectations, pointing out the sea life, and taking pictures to share with the group.

Spectacular trip to Honolua Bay and Black Rock. Kevin led the trip. Honolua Bay included highlights of white tip reef sharks and a turtle cleaning station. He had checked out the site earlier in the morning to ensure the conditions warranted the travel and the walk which I appreciated.
Kevin was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Underwater he was the perfect guide—leading not herding and pointing out the things he had described during the briefing and a few other we came across unexpectedly. From Black Rock due to favorable currents and an able group he detoured us to a small isolated reef which I was an unexpected bonus.
Would also confidently recommend a trip led by Tim who joined us on the excursion just because he loves diving. He had led a prior trip we were on also through Maui diving.
We will absolutely be booking with this operation on our next trip and asking for Kevin or Tim

BEWARE! Their cancellation Policy is extreme. We tried to cancel a dive that was scheduled for 2 people at least 3 weeks in advance and they want to keep the money as a credit on account or charge you a 20% cancellation fee.
One diver is a local and one is a visitor from the mainland.

DIVERS BEWARE! this dive shop in kihei is no longer owned or operated by maui dive shop! It's now owned by maui diving-scuba & snorkel same "women" owned shop in Lahina.
I say beware because they will tell you that you need a recert if you haven't dove in over 6 months (according to PADI). WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE! PADI DIVE CERTIFICATION IS GOOD FOR LIFE--IT DOESNT EXPIRE!
This newly owned place wants you to pay them to do a refresh class! Don't do it, go somewhere else!
Any good dive shop will tell you if you haven't been diving in 3+years and have less than 20 lifetime dives, it would be a good idea to take a refresher class for safety reasons.
No one was able to dive during the pandemic, so this dive shop is going to capitalize on this?
I've been diving with maui dive shop for 20+ years! I've dove every single dive they offer! I've spent thousands of dollars on dives and gear there! We dove 4x with them December 2019! Not 1 time did maui dive shop tell me I couldn't dive because we hadn't been diving in 6 months. I was really disappointed that they closed their retail store. But happy they are still running their boats!
I was dismayed that the woman working there had no clue what she was talking about! Not to mention she was a little off--skaterbrained, distracted, kept making me repeat myself?! Not to mention she insulted my navy veteran husband when standing in line at register...... she says are you going to buy that? So flabergasted-- did you think he was going to steal while standing in line?! REALLY!@#$!
THIS DIVER OF 23 YEARS diving all over the world with same hours as an instructor WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS TO THE Maka KOA boat the real Maui dive shop boat!
Dive safe. Be safe. stay salty!
Rescue, nitrox, research diver out!
