The Lani Kai is a 53 foot power catameran which holds 69 passengers. Friendly Charters takes passengers on Snorkeling tours to Molokini and Turtle town in the morning, and to Coral Gardens in the afternoon. This is a classy, beautiful yacht, which is less crowded, but still stable. You don't share your snorkeling spot with 140 other people. It has a shaded cabin, a waterslide, 3 swimsteps, marine toilets and showers. We offer Snuba.

My husband and I booked this tour through Tom Barefoot tours, and had really no idea what to expect. When we arrived they were preparing the boat, at which time I got cold feet. I like to swim, but not in the ocean, (sharks), I...More

Wife and I opted for the snuba experience instead of just the snorkeling. Joe, our guide and snuba instructor was very thorough in teaching us about the system as well as underwater signaling. He and another diver accompanied us on the dive, providing both guide...More

The Concierge at the Marriott Ocean Club highly recommended this company and we couldn't be happier with the friendly service we received from the crew. To our surprise they offered Snuba and my daughters tried it for the first time and loved it! The Mai...More

Unfortunately due to windy conditions we didn't get to our second destination - but stayed at Molokini longer. It was a smaller group which was nice, but given the additional time we spent on Molokini I was a little jealous of the bigger ships platforms...More

I would recommend Lani Kay to anyone who wants to feel like the are being taken care of as if the was on a private snorkeling excursion. The other boats in the harbor we're bigger, but they looked like the were hearding cattle.

We found Lani Kai in one of the many tourist guides - we called in the afternoon and booked for the following morning. The costs was about US$100 for each of us and was a five hour port to port round trip to Molokini and...More

I don't usually go in for this sort of thing but I was being a good sport for my husband. But WOW, I really enjoyed our trip to Molokini and later swimming with turtles. This particular boat does not hold the hoards of people like...More

My husband and I booked this trip for our 10 year wedding anniversary and he did the snuba at Molokini and I snorkeled. We enjoyed the experience, friendly crew, and beautiful sights so much that we booked a second trip for later that week. The...More

Because of the wind seas were too high for us to go to molokini, as advertised. The captain took us to another reef where there were safer conditions. I've seen better reefs with more fish. However, this said, the crew were very friendly, accommodating, safety...More

For my girlfriend and I, the only disappointment of our entire 2 week holiday to Hawaii was this snorkeling trip and we would not recommend it to anyone. The company advertises their morning schedule as a 6:30am check-in/boarding, for a 7am departure from Maalaea Harbor....More

We too did an early afternoon charter. The cost for the basic trip, which included snorkeling and lunch was $35 per person. This included your mask and fins. If you wanted to use a wet suit, it was an additional $10. If you... More
