Keoki & Kimo are the real deal! 100% Hawaiian and live by “Aloha”! Only get a surf lesson here! My son Cosmo (9 years old) and I took our first lesson and caught the 1st wave we attempted! They are professional in their instruction and passionate about the Hawaiian culture. You must get the photo package from Kimo, he actually goes into the water with you & takes photos and videos. Best high definition quality ever! These guys were born and raised surfing the Hawaiian seas! Grazie Keoki & Kimo!

The owners Ikaika and Keoki had worked for other surf schools closeby, and my friends and I loved their lessons. Nobody is better than Ikaika at teaching kids, even really little ones. Then they stopped working at those other surf schools and I was heart broken. I am in Maui often, and have visitors with me, and I no longer had a good place that I could recommend wholeheartedly. I was so thrilled that the two opened their own place now! The location is perfect, easy to park for you, and you don't have to lug the boards across the street to the ocean. And Ikaika and Keoki and their small staff are all true islanders, with genuine Hawaiian roots, and they share their culture and history generously, all you have to do is ask.

These guys are consummate professionals and have given us quite possibly our best experience on our vacation! My husband and I both had a fantastic experience. They had us up surfing in the first 30 minutes of the lesson. You are learning from extremely high level Hawaiian surfers, and all during the lesson subtly learning things about Hawaiian culture. I’m not an athletic person at all, and it was truly exhilarating to be up surfing so quickly. They teach in a very gentle and effective style that works! Extremely safe and personalized to each of us. Aside from the fact that the activity was phenomenal, the things you learn about Hawaiian culture elevate the whole experience. This is NOT just some tourist trap over-priced generic experience. If you want to learn from the best, do not hesitate and book with this company. Plus, they take fantastic photos during your lesson! We will definitely be back for more!

We booked a surf lesson for my daughter's birthday in late January. The day started with a storm, twin rainbows and uncertainty about our surf plans. Aloha Ocean Adventures contacted the concierge at our hotel to let us know the seas were iffy, and asked what we would like to do. We agreed to head to the beach and see for ourselves. The rain wasn't an issue (we would be in the ocean anyway) but the wind was. It wasn't a day to surf for our family BUT these AMAZING GUYS had a beautiful jasmine lei for my daughter and wished her a traditional Hawaiian Happy Birthday. It was our last day on Maui for this trip, but when we go back we will definitely be surfing with these guys! They provide long sleeved water shirts, professional photos of your adventure and the Aloha spirit! Mahalo you guys!

Keoki and the team at Aloha Ocean Adventures were so friendly and helpful! Communication was so clear, Keoki was super accommodating and friendly, and my daughter was up and surfing within an hour! Keoki is such a kind guy and the whole team is so supportive. My husband was super nervous, and Keoki really helped him learn at his own pace, and he made it! Mahalo, Keoki!

Would go again in a heart beat. My goal was up once as a first timer and we were surfing within 30 min! Highly recommend.

Lewis the operator and owner was really friendly. He had my teen aged kids surfing in minutes. The beach was perfect for beginners as the waves were only 1 to 2 feet tall. There was a photographer in the water that took great photos for an additional fee.

If you want to learn to surf, Aloha Ocean Adventures is the best place to start that journey. Lesson started at 8, by 9 I was standing up and riding waves. Instruction was focused on doing the basics right and having fun. Had an awesome time and even learned about Hawaiian culture. If you’re in Maui and want the best surf instruction you can get, call Keoki. I’m already making plans to go back.

Ikaika and Aloha Adventures were awesome. We had a great lesson and they were good with both kids and adults. Perfect beach as well. All 5 of us were surfing quickly. We liked it so much that we went back 2 days later. Highly recommend.

We had an awesome time! My wife and I aren't exactly young and had never surfed before but were in great hands. We had a two hour private lesson and even surfed among sea turtles as well. We loved the talk about Hawaiian culture and history as we learned to surf. We would go back to them in a second and recommend them very highly.
