We love activities that we can do with the family and as a family that loves puzzles, learning and hiking, this seemed like a good choice...we were wrong. IT WAS A GREAT CHOICE. Our kids loved every second of it and talked about it for the next couple of days. It was

I read all of the positive reviews and our family was very much looking forward to the hike. We love hiking, the outdoors and exploring, so seeing the jungle, playing in the stream, and climbing on the rocks was fun. The actual treasure hunt part I think is very misleading.

Aloha Cynthia, mahalo for sharing your opinion and your suggestions. I had a great time with your family. I recall you had 4 kids, not 5 as you stated, 2 girls and 2 boys. Especially your 5 yr old girl and 2 boys were very active and playful. They were involved in searching for symbols, taking a lead and finding the symbols. They took turns and shared with other family's kids who joined us. Your 12 year old daughter was not as active as your younger ones and it was her choice, but still had her turns and was involved in the activities during the hike. I had the opportunity to speak to your kids on different occasions during our adventure and they told me they were having a great time. I am sorry you were disappointed at the content of the treasure itself, perhaps you were expecting a real gold, but the fun and magic for the children is not in what they find in the treasure chest but the adventure itself, the activities and fun tasks during the search and the anticipation. Usually the parents love to be involved in the search and participate but in your case majority of the times you were chatting in the back with your friend. Even when I was sharing stories and interesting facts with the children, you were talking and not paying attention. It seems to me like you are the one who is disappointed, not the kids, perhaps you had different expectations and you are not able to see it through the children's eyes. By the way, we (guides) work for a tip (with minimum wages) in Hawaii. I spent 3 hours with your group of 7, taking your family on a hike, doing fun activities, keeping you safe, entertained and giving you 3 hours of my undivided attention and got not even a dollar from your group. I am not sure what you are used to where you came from, but we tip in Hawaii for services. Something to think about next time you book a tour…

Our grandchildren, girls-ages 5 and 7, loved the treasure hunt. They found all the clues on the jungle trail and were ecstatic about uncovering a treasure chest. Good exercise for all of us. Wear good shoes on this trail. A well organized event.

We did the treasure hunt experience in Maui and had a great time. Our kids absolutely loved it! Our guide Andrea was very kind and patient. She is a mom herself and was really wonderful with our 2 girls (ages 7 and 10). We only had one other family with us (with 2 other
