Sunrise amazing! Bike ride quick and over before you know it!

Although up way too early for vacation, sunrise was amazing! Dress warm as it really gets cold. Hat, gloves, coat. Even tho you'll see young people in shorts and flip flops. Bike... read more

The bike ride started about 6500 feet (3500 feet below the summit) ended below the bottom of the mountain and was very slow. The ride lasted only about 90 minutes. Some other companies ride all the way to the ocean. 3 different staff (1 bus driver plus 2 guides) all made it clear they expected minimum $10-$20 each for tips... More

This was a great tour! The one thing I must say is that you should do this tour separate from the zipline, otherwise you only get to do half of the ride. We only did the bike ride and it was fun. You start our with a 3am resort pick up and they were right on time. If you are... More

We booked the combo sunrise bike ride with zip line. Watching the sunrise was a great experience. We were fortunate to have the simultaneous moon set. The view is a great experience. My husband was very disappointed with the bike ride, as you can only go as fast as the slowest person. Not the fault of the guides - we... More

We had so much fun on our trip with Maui Downhill! They picked us up at our hotel at 3 a.m. (not fun), but once we were on our bus, it was great. They took us to the office where we were fitted for our helmets and off we went to Haleakala to see the sunrise. That was amazing and... More

Maui Downhill is one of the best choices I made on my first trip to Maui. Our guides Steve and Tony were amazing. They handled trip beautifully, so that all we had to worry about was coasting downhill. Steve was funny and knowledgable, like a good looking Seth Meyers. Tony was warm and gracious. If you can ride a bike,... More

Today my wife and I (both in our 50s) had the pleasure of biking down Haleakala with a group of 12 and our guides were Dan and Mark. The day was amazing. Both Dan and Mark had us focused on two things; fun andf safety. Most of the group was our age although one person was 70. To bike downhill... More

I had booked Maui Downhill for a Saturday. I called the company on Friday around 2:00 pm to confirm my pickup time and was informed my trip had been cancelled since we were the only two scheduled for that time. I had asked if she could suggest other companies and her answer was "they are probably all filled" and she... More

You can drive up the mountain for entry fee to park, much cheaper. Riding down the mountain is ok if you like coasting and stopping only when your guide wants to stop. Safety is what they preach, which they should, but the helmets have been dropped many times and are fairly abused looking, which isn't cool for safety. The trailer... More
