This was so much better than I expected. We went for the sunrise on Haleakala (which was only okay) but the bike ride down was great. They had planned stops along the way to give us interesting info about Maui and then just stopped a few times extra to show us some native Hawaiian animals we passed. I'd definitely recommend... The trip overall was amazing- we were picked up from our hotel at 2:15am in a van that was pretty tight (would have been nicer if we had a bit more space though). The drive up to the summit was tough for anyone that gets motion sickness so I would recommend bringing a Dramamine if you get even the slightest... More

Totally worth getting up at 1:30 for the sunrise. The bike ride down is a definite bucket list item. No peddling involved ---- I coasted the entire trip. If you can try to go pro the ride.

We had a great time on this trip. The Sun rise over the volcano was amazing. The wind at the top was brutal though. Be prepared for high winds and serious low temps. The ride after was great. Our driver, Marlin, was very informative and nice. Kevin our guide on the ride was also great - funny and full of... More

We did the bike ride the morning after we arrived in Maui to help with the time change (5 hours for us) as we were picked up super early so keep that in mind. It was cloudy, windy, raining and wicked cold at the top so we didn't get to see the sunrise; not mountain riders fault of course they... More

There were three of us in our party and only two chose to ride down the volcano. Our guide, Aleka, was an amazing tour guide with a great sense of humor. Safety for all participants was his primary concern. For our member who remained on the bus, Marlan made sure to point out several highlights on the way down the... More

What an experience! I warn you...it starts early! We did the ride the day after arrival so with the time change it was not too painful! You get picked up at your hotel around 2:15am and get to the crater around 5am. They provide coffee, juice, and granola bars. It is very lite so I could pack a little snack.... More

An adventurous day - starting at 2:30 am, but well worth the lack of sleep. The tour guides were great - shared a lot of information about the volcano and the trip down as well as recommendations for restaurants and other things to do on Maui. Marlon and Big K were terrific, kept us safe and were understanding when my... More

Breathtaking scenery at sunrise and during trip down mountain. The crew were friendly, helpful, and very informative. Highly recommend this service provider.

Waking up for the 2:30 AM pick up was less than thrilling, but the sunrise was beautiful although driving up on your own is probably more worth it. We did the guided bike ride down and that was thrilling. Speeding around the turns at 25+ MPH was so fun. And our guide Alika (sp?) was great. He was fun and... More
