About Skyline Hawaii
Built in 2002, Skyline’s Haleakalā 5-line Haleakalā zipline tour was the first commercial zipline in the country, and the company followed that up by creating a Kaanapali zipline tour and tours on The Big Island and Kaui. Skyline is proud to be Hawaii’s eco-friendliest zipline company, planting over 8,000 native Hawaiian trees on Haleakalā, joining 1% for the planet and giving over $1.5 million to conservation and other nonprofits. Their guides get 80 hours of training—double the industry standard—on safety techniques, Hawaii’s rich history and culture, and the islands’ delicate ecosystems. In addition to zipline tours, Skyline offers a Road to Hana tour, Haleakalā Sunrise tours, bike and waterfall tours, and more.

Here's the reasons why you should do this as a guided tour: 1. Guarantee that you go to the crater because these tour companies have perpetual access. 2. You definitely did not pack the proper gear for sub-40 degree temperatures with high winds. 3. The drive is switchback crazy which you don't want to do in the dark at 3 am after likely staying up late. 4. The guide talks the entire time so you really know what you are looking at 5. Skyline has a nice app that supplements the guide why you are waiting for sunrise. 6. Transportation to and from your hotel. Skyline stops at Kula lodge for a tasty breakfast on the way back. Overall, a very nice and organized experience.

Road to Hana is great! I absolutely recommend it. Much better with a local driver because the road may be tough in some parts. The tour guide was professional and the funniest guide ever: ask for Ikaika!

This was an amazing adventure and well worth getting up early to see. The view of the rising sun above the crater was spectacular! The provided coats and gloves were definitely necessary and appreciated as it was very cold. It was nice to have a little wake up snack before heading up to the crater and the restaurant on the way down had many wonderful breakfast selections.

This was the best event we experienced on Maui in February and we participated in some wonderful bucket-list activities. We were grateful to be picked-up at our hotel for a quite ride up to an early pre-sunrise breakfast. (Didn't need to be awake or figure out permits and navigation at such an early hour.) Muffins, a banana, and coffee a little later provided fuel for the mountain top. It is so important to arrive early, and this tour nailed it. We secured a spot with a beautiful view and relaxed into the rising light. Magic Dave is kind and so funny, this company is very lucky to have him as a tour guide. With the day upon us, and after most of the other tours had left, we each got our photos on Haleakala -- and then made our way to a delicious breakfast at Kula Lodge-- a historic structure with delicious coconut syrup. (OMG get something to put the syrup on and bring some home to share with friends.) The morning was clear so views from the lodge and the garden were spectacular. Thank you Dave for being a wonderful host and sharing the magic of this place!

Skyline is super professional!! We did two tours—Road to Hana and Mt. Haleakala. Richard was an amazing guide for Hana—some of the most beautiful sights!! Great food, clean, organized! The sunrise tour was equally great—they have everything—jackets, gloves! The biking was thrilling and the zip was super fun!!! Guides are funny and safe!!
