Only go there if you are desperate. Don’t understand why the store is a must-see. It is run-down, old, badly kept, dirty, filthy and super expensive. I understand groceries are expensive in Hawaii but this place takes the cake. There are no price markers and they just charge you whatever they want. Parking is ridiculous. It looks like a store in a village in a third world country, not a tourist attraction in Hawaii, USA

Anything and everything you may need- from Groceries to hardware! Nice store to stop and browse around in. Even bought some souvenirs with their perfect motto “Far from Waikiki”. Nice kittle country style store with friendly staff.

My son had a dyeing phone and bought a charger here. Hard to believe because no phone service for last 30 miles. Grab a snack because last store any where. Locals seem to yell at tourist, "Go home and hurry up". Old country store is quite a conundrum.

I particularly like the t-shirts, but you can get everything there. It is old school, and that is the point. Brownie mix? Got it? Diet coke? Got it. Local raw honey in pretty jars to take back to co-workers? Got it. Sure there is dust. Sure there is corny stuff. And the recommendations about how to get back to the other side vary from shop clerk to shop clerk, but you won't find another place like it.

This store is an iconic Hana location. I think it has more traffic than any other Hana business! It has a little of EVERYTHING. It's literally an old school general store with food, clothing, hardware, housewares and beauty supplies to coloring books, key chains and snacks and drinks for Hana hikers. I love this place!

I love this store - it is what it is. A store that serves a small and wonderful community with everything you could possibly need. Car battery - check. Grass fed beef - check. Chardonnay - check. Please shop here when in Hana - great folks who are incredibly helpful and have done everything possible to make this a store that not only serves their community, but visitors too. Individual packed frozen shrimp were delicious, one stick of butter available for purchase, and small bottles of condiments. Thanks for thinking of us haoles!

This place is from the 1930's and still has not changed much. I highly recommend this place. It has everything that you will ever need and it sells original items made in Maui. I love this place!!!

This place is a dump. I would love to support a local, quirky and historic general store, but it’s just a whole bunch of junk that’s poorly organized and shockingly priced. Stop here only if you are desperate for something.
It’s FILTHY. Mega disappointing.

Not as colorful or nostalgic as the song would lead you to believer. Hot inside, poorly lit, in a rundown building. Odd assortment of "stuff" but probably have anything you may have forgotten on the road to Hana.

I was there 25 years ago but did not think it was in same place. Looked the same though. Song written about it in WWII. Lady behind counter said there had been a fire in late 90’s at old location so they took pieces they could salvage and built new store. Worth stopping so you can say you did.
