We took the road to Hana last summer. I was surprised that the road didn't seek to be very crowded at all since it was in June. In my opinion, the drive there wasn't as scenic as I thought it would be. We stopped at the Garden of Eden which I thought was ok, got easy pics of rainbow eucalyptus... More

The Road to Hana is an absolutely beautiful drive and one everyone should do at least once. This was our second time and loved it just as much as the first time. But, road warriors beware...do allow all day to do the turnaround. We were on the road at 9am with stops for lunch and made it back just about... More

If you have a day you really should make the whole drive. If you only have half a day you really should make at least half the trip. The drive is full of incredible views both on the mountainside & oceanside. There are so many waterfalls, fun hikes, & even a few caves. There are some fruit stands & food... More

The Road to Hana is full of fun, interesting adventure. Something for everyone around every corner and across every one lane bridge!

Taking the road to Hana will bring you through a lot of windy turns on a narrow road. You'll see tons of waterfalls and lots of places to buy souvenirs or drinks/food along the way. Really a funky cool experience. You can spend a day driving the many many miles the road is or just go up one way and... More

Beautiful vistas, waterfalls, and botanical gardens line the adventurous trip along The Road to Hana. The hairpin curves and one-way bridges were enough to make me quite ill from motion sickness.

We did this with our young kids in tow. I was honestly not looking forward to it for that reason, it was beautiful, but it does take all day. If I could do it again, probably wouldn't go the whole way with the kids. Without kids though I most definitely would go the whole way and try going past Hana... More

The road to Hana lived up to its expectations. Although people tried to scare me more than needed, the road is a challenge for those prone to motion-sickness. The drive through Paia and up to Twin Falls, the 1st fall on the way to Hana, is pretty straight forward. We didn't stop at Paia, which seemed like a nice place... More

The Road to Hana was an 12 hours trip. We had take a tour bus with other tourists. We stopped at the Black Beach and had our lunch. The road to Hana was majestic with water falls along the road.

Wonderful beautiful breathtaking quaint lush paradise, but one hellish of a road. Your poor children who sit in the back will get sick, your passenger driver (aka wife) will tell you to slow down or be more careful even when you drive at 15 mph. So do your children a favor. Give them Dremamine before the drive.
