Book elsewhere if you value customer service and your money - My experience so far with this company: I've been trying to cancel a reservation for two months since late June 2020 as we had to postpone our wedding and honeymoon due to COVID-19. It took a whole month to even get an email back from Bike Maui, which finally indicated that my refund would be processed by the end of the week.....Several follow-up emails from me and a month later, I still have not received a refund or at the least even an email reply. I am writing this reply in hopes that someone from Bike Maui is monitoring this and can get into contact with me to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, I cannot rate them on their actual ability to provide tours; however, I can provide 1 star for customer service. With respect to COVID-19 and that they may not be fully operational, they should at least have one person monitoring their phone and or email. My tour is scheduled for early September so I'm praying I can get a refund (about $350) dollars. Can someone from Bike Maui please get in contact with me and issue a refund as soon as possible?…

Amazing adventure. Highly recommended, especially the bike down part of the trip! It is a very early rise but well worth it. Once in a lifetime style adventure.

This company is terrible with refunds. I am hoping i get my $712.23 back. I would not use this company for your guided bike tour. I am going to discourage all my friends and family.

You may be requesting a refund for a cancellation due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We understand and apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately this is an unprecedented event that has affect all our operations. It has affected many businesses like ourselves, to the point that we have had to suspend all activities, as well let go all of our staff. This is one reason for delayed refunds. Our resources are at the moment limited. Additionally, our reservations system and bank has flagged the unusual situation and capped the amount of refunds that can be processed on any given day. Due to the HIGH number of cancellations due to this virus, refunds are being issued in batches that comply the the restrictions of our processing companies. We ask for your patience during these trying times, but assure you that we are issuing out refunds as quickly as we are able to do so. Thank you and please be safe.

We were in Maui just before everything started shutting down for covid 19. The peak was clouded over when we arrived, but started to clear up as we were boarding the bus to begin our ride. Thankfully, our guides let run back out and get a few more pictures before heading out. It was COLD and WINDY, 30 F w/ 20+mph winds. They provided pretty good gear, but I would recommend bringing layers to help. We saw a lot of people that brought blankets from their hotels. We went with the guided tour. It had some advantages and disadvantages. My wife had problems with the gear shift on her bike, which would have ruined the experience if we had gone on the self guided tour. Because we were on the guided tour, it meant a quick stop on the side of the road and they swapped bike for her in about a minute. The downside was that we couldn't stop to take pictures or longer for lunch. The other highlight was having Drew as our guide. His knowledge of the area was impressive, but his puns (no comment). He gave some great recommendations of places to visit in our stop in Makawao. I would definitely recommend this experience.…
