Since we were staying on Maui, we wanted to hit Lanai. We found Lost on Lanai online, and booked the ferry + cats + beach tour for about $85 per person. Best money we spent on the whole trip. The communication about what to expect, where to park, and where to be was impeccable - Bradley made it seamless. We took the 9:45 ferry, were seeing cats by 11:15, on Hulopoe beach by 1:45, and back on the ferry for a sunset ride by 5:30. Do not hesitate, book with Lost on Lanai immediately, you won't regret it.

GREAT service for visitors to Lanai. In the past it was a hassle trying coordinating the ferry and arrange ground transportation. Now one call or online site and Brad reserves your ferry ticket on the Lanai ferry Expedition and a shuttle van to your destination and back to Manele harbor for the return to Lahaina. RT cost is $85 or $97 for 2 locations like the cat sanctuary and Lanai City. I booked the 9:45 ferry to the cat sanctuary, 1:15 PU to Lanai City then a 4:15 back to catch the 5:45 ferry. That gave me time not only with the cats but a chance to get a bite to eat and check out the few stores in the town.
FYI: It will cost you 200-250 dollars to rent a vehicle for one day and there are only 30 miles of paved roads.

Went to go see the cat sanctuary. Fabulous experience. The van picked us up and took us where we needed to go. I heard from other travelers they took a taxi when they got off the ferry and got charged an insane amount of money to get to the sanctuary by some taxi service. I would strong recommend using lost on Lāna’i. The four seasons is also fabulous. Other than a hunting trip I’m not sure what else there is to do on this island. Very remote and you’re going to need transportation for sure to get where you’re going. Use it!!!!

Worked with Bradley, Lost on Lanai, for months. Booked a large group to see the Cat Sanctuary, had changes in plans, people, reservations. Bradley communicated and quickly responded to changes kindly, was helpful. Then the Lahaina Harbor was destroyed. Again, lots of changes, email exchanges. Then the ferry had to be cancelled due to weather. Sad, no Lanai and Kitties but happy with the result of our many communications. Some of us had booked this tour 2 years ago and loved it and we are so saddened by the effects of the fire on all aspects of Maui/Lanai. Highly recommend booking through Bradley and taking a Lost on Lanai tour (they have lots of options!). We definitely will see the Sanctuary next trip!

Lost on Lanai arranged a wonderful visit to Lanai. Communication was excellent via text. We traveled from Maui to Lanai via ferry. Amazing voyage across. From Lanai harbor, we took a shuttle to Lanai City and ate breakfast at the Blue Ginger Cafe. Another shuttle ride transported us to the Cat Sanctuary. We loved our visit with the kitties and wanted to take all home with us. The shuttle whisked is off to the beach. Lovely, uncrowded and good snorkeling. A short walk took us back to the harbor for the ferry ride home. The day was amazing and enjoyed by all!

Aloha, Thank you so much for your feedback and for your booking. We are very glad that you enjoyed your "Languid Lanai Ramble"! We hope to be able to assist you on a future trip. The Ferry is continuing to add additional departures working towards a return to normal and we are adding additional activities across Maui to better serve our guests. Thank you again for your feedback! Mahalo, Brad/Lost on Lanai

We wanted to go to Lana'i and Lost on Lana'i, especially with the help of Brad, made our trip extremely easy. Brad was very helpful and responsive to questions I had. The trip was arranged exactly as I wanted. All the details that were provided as to what would happen when went like clockwork. We had a wonderful trip to Lana'i with the morning at the Cat Sanctuary and the afternoon at the beach snorkeling. The driver picked us up at the Cat Sanctuary and gave us a driving tour of Lana'i City before dropping us off at the beach. It was a great day! I would highly recommend the trip and also Lost on Lana'i.

We had an *amazing* trip to the Lanai cat sanctuary from Lahaina (Maui). We were staying in Maui but weren't quite sure how to get to the sanctuary. Enter Lost on Lanai. They made it SOOOOOO easy. We booked the 9:45am-2:30pm ferry + cats trip. We boarded easily at the Lahaina harbor (our names were with the check-in person). Once we got to Lanai, we easily found our shuttle driver, and he drove us in a van to the sanctuary (and everything in reverse on the way back). It was an effortless trip and totally worth it to use Lost on Lanai to coordinate for us. The sanctuary was every cat-lover's dream (read my review on the cat sanctuary page for more details).

We used Lost on Lanai for our visit to the Lanai Cat Sanctuary. We just went to their website and picked our day and time. They obtained our boat tickets and provided a van to take us from the dock to the Cat Sanctuary and back. Great service. Friendly people.

We booked two Lost on Lanai cat sanctuary package for $85/pp to visit the cat sanctuary from Maui.

No issues on the trip, Brad from Lost and Lanai was very easy to reach and answered our text very promptly when we had issues finding the parking lot in the morning (you can park for $5/full day if you take the ferry).

Basically Lost on Lanai make sure you got a ride once you reach Lanai and arranges all the transportation details. If you want to book everything yourself it's $60 for the roundtrip ferry and $10 per leg of for transportation on Lanai. We felt that the $5 premium was well worth it for peace of mind and also a set pickup time. Cell signal is pretty bad on Lanai especially around the cat sanctuary and there is very limited means of transportation on an island with only 3000 people. thanks

Our driver on Lanai was very friendly and gave us a tour of the area and a history of the island. If you want to make additional stops you can arrange with the driver separately. We got dropped off near the beach on the way back from the sanctuary and spend two hours relaxing and walking around there before getting on the ferry back to Maui. The beach is not crowded and well equiped with bathrooms, foot rinsers, water fountains and etc.

Overall a great local company that also donates part of your payment to the cat sanctuary. Awesome day trip from Maui and pretty stress free.

Some additional tips:
- the ferry ride was pretty bumpy. Line up early if you want a seat at the top and take medication if you get sea sick.
- definitely park at the $5 location, the free parking has three hour limit and I hear that ticketing is pretty enforced. You can get dinner in Lahaina and walk around Front Street after you get off the ferry.
- pack some snacks and lunch since food options are very limited on Lanai and not much is near the beach (Four Season has food for $$$$$)
- yes I know the website looks kind of sketchy, just look last it and you will have a great trip! You can also call and text to confirm the details they respond pretty fast.

We wanted a day on Lanai but was a little unsure how to go about it apart from book a ferry & hope for the best.
Brad from Lost in Lanai responded quite quickly to my email & I booked the tour on their website with his instructions.
We took the ferry from Lahaina at 9:15am and there was a guy with a sign for the shuttle/Rabaca's Limo service who pointed us in the right direction to our van to take us to the cat sanctuary. I wanted to have a little extra time at the sanctuary & this was worked out for an extra hour & we would get the last ferry home. Definitely a must for cat lovers!
The half day tour with Bruce from Rabaca's Limo and Off Road Tours was great! My husband thought that it would be a bit boring but he really enjoyed it in the end. So many sights that we wouldn't have found if we tried to navigate the island by ourselves & Bruce was fantastic with explaining & pointing out everything (can't find a page to write a review for them separately but I'm sure if you book through Lost on Lanai for the half day tour that's who you would be with!).
We had a quick lunch in town & that was perfect too. A long day but we really enjoyed it!
