This gallery is a must see for the visitor to Lanai. Mike or his lovely wife Caroll are usually there and can give you the local view of Lanai.

We did a day trip to Lana'i just to see what was there and see Maui from the Island that we had been looking at across the water for years. Curiosity did it! On the island one of our main stops was the Cat Sanctuary. We learned that Mikes wife Kathy was involved and supported the Sanctuary. We went to Blue Ginger Cafe for lunch in Lana'i City. then we decided to look at the Gallery. BEAUTIFUL paintings and prints! Some of the best that we have seen in 10 years of vacations to the islands. If you love Hawaiian art, this is a must see on a visit to Lana'i.

Mike, Kathy and Diane, to say nothing of the beautiful art from a variety of island artists, make a visit a wonderful experience. Homey, professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and the list goes on. And don't be fearful of sending something home. Our package could have been dropped from the space station and it would not have been damaged. Just plain nice people and merchandise.

We stopped by this art gallery on the way to visit the Lana’i Cat Sanctuary. After talking briefly with Kathy who is Mike’s wife, we discovered that she was the founder of the sanctuary. While browsing Mike’s work, we saw several paintings that were identical to several photos we had taken while staying at the Four Seasons resort. We purchased those prints and plan on framing our photos and displaying them next to each other. We often buy art at the places we visit and this was one of our favorite galleries we have ever had the opportunity to visit.

My husband and I honeymooned on Lanai, which has become a special place for us to visit. During our first trip two years ago, we spotted Mike's protea flower painting in the Four Seasons gift shop. I did not scoop it up at the time and always had a tinge of regret for not buying it. The vivid colors always stuck with me. Fast forward to the holidays, we made it back to Lanai with a mission to come back home with some special art this time around. Kathy was lovely in the shop (and my forever cat lady hero). We bought two paintings and I mentioned the protea story to Kathy. She inspired Mike to paint a new protea painting- SOLD! All three paintings were shipped safely and we can't wait to hang them up in our new space and dream of paradise on a cold New Jersey day. Thank you Kathy (and of course Mike!).
