It's about a 45 minute ride from Lahaina to the dock on the island of Lanai. A shuttle bus meets you at the dock and can take you to the sanctuary in about 20 minutes. Plan on spending at least two hours at the sanctuary... More

I had to fly from Oahu to Lanai via Ohana (Hawaiian Airlines.) Price varies based on when you book the flight. My roundtrip cost was $135.

You definitely need to take some sort of transportation to get there. Not within walking distance at all. Kind of close to the airport but still need a ride.
