Beautiful views from the overlook. Make sure to bring a credit card to pay the $5.25 fee per car to go to the overlook

a must see when in Kauai, scenery is spectacular. Be sure to take the hike to the waterfall (comfortable clothing, hiking shoes recommended).

We received good advice on this trip -- go early in the day. The clouds increase as the day goes along. We did hit some rain along the way, but were in full sun at the end of the road. The views were exceptional!

The views of the canyon are amazing. We stopped at many of the little pull offs on the winding road up and each view was unique and spectacular.

There is a good 20-35 minute winding drive from the base of the mountain (shore). The views and scenery were awesome. The trees and surroundings are unique to Kauai and cannot be seen elsewhere on the islands. Then as you get to the observation deck...More

The road leading visitors from a quint red dirt waterfall all the way to Koke’e State Park is wonderful. The lookouts, which do cost $5 total to see them all, are astonishing and offer views of the entire canyon and Waipo’o falls. Plus, there are...More

We did one, 3-hour hike—the Canyon Trail. Got to see the Canyon from a different perspective, looking toward the scenic overlook along the road. It was worthwhile but without hiking, you can see 90% of what we saw with... More
