It’s said that the top of the canyon is one of the wettest places on earth with over 400 inches of rain. We saw sun so I can’t tell you if it actually rains there a lot. Beatiful lookout areas and good trails. Definitely worth...More

Magnificent scenery. Can drive just for the awesome views; or, better still, hike one of the trails.

We self drove to the canyon and visited the lookouts - easily accessible and good parking. An easy drive to do on your own, though stop often to take photos. Looks like morning is cleared weather.

Took our family to see the amazing views. Worth the drive up to the look out point. They have a fruit stand with drinks, etc before the look out point.

Had two incredible days of hiking here. Many locals mentioned to respect the weather and not try to hike after rain. Also pick your hikes well and try to avoid too much time in the jungle. Views are incredible but you'll work for them.

Second time to the Waimea Canyon a must see on your trip. The hike is a good one. Make sure you bring extra hydration, snack, and wear some time of hiking shoe or boot.

Grab a coffee and drive up to Waimea Canyon and enjoy the views! They have plenty of lookout areas and we went early enough that it wasn't busy at all. As we were leaving, vendors were selling fruits and veggies.

You could see a waterfall from 2 or 3 of the lookout points that you stop at. We didn't do any hiking, but you get quite a view from the lookout points. Be sure to drive all the way to the last lookout point. it gets... More
