Very nice drive with many pull overs to see more. We took Waimea Canyon Drive to get there. We went after it had rained and the Waipo'o Falls were flowing beautifully. We also took the Canyon Trail to Waipo'o Falls. Since it had rained, the trail was really muddy making it a moderate hike. The views from inside of the... More

Spectacular View!! So glad we took the short drive up to the area. This is totally worth seeing. This place is for everyone to see. Could be a romantic background photo for newlyweds.

There are many great places in this world to see. This is definitely one to see!! I had been to the Grand Canyon three times. So I could make a comparison. Albeit, that Waimea is smaller in scale, it makes up for in color. A majority of the canyon is cloaked in a beautiful emerald. There are quite a few... More

Known as the Grand Canyon of the pacific it certainly carries itself well. Spectacular views from several ares. Unfortunately we had to witness a child's memorial ( teddy bears, other stuffed animals a cross) right on the edge of a cliff. There are no fences or railings in most areas.

The drive is windy but the views are breath taking. We did the Awa'awapuhi trail and will never forget the dramatic scenery.

From start to finish, this road was meant for the Waimea Canyon Bicycle Tour. Downhill inclines treat the rider to a effortless glide where every corner brings a new panorama of colourful canyons with the blue Pacific for a backdrop. The guides are knowledgeable about flora and fauna and provide a history or Kauai with lots of local colour. Good... More

This was such a delight. Not too long of a drive to the top with great stop-offs along the way. My husband and I have some of the most fantastic pictures from this day. The Canyon is breathtaking once you get up to the top lookout. The colors and vast greatness really take your breath away! there is a fresh... More

It is a windy, narrow drive, but worth it. The view is spectacular. It reminded me of the Grand Canyon.
