What can I say...the view doesn't get any better than this. If I lived here I'd never get any work done. This view is from the top of the canyon drive. Mile marker 18 & 19 have phenomenal lookouts for this Valley...I love it here.

You will need to drive all the way to the end of route 550 in Waimea Canyon (18 miles of cross back mountain road from the base) to get to this scenic overlook. However, once you get there, it's worth the time (and the drive offers up some of the most spectacular views in the world - both heading up... More

I have walked into these revines. I have observed the cliffs, beaches and archs from the sea. I have walked the trails from both ends. Every view is magical.

Definitely worth continuing on from the Waimea Canoyn lookout all the way to ocean and the stunning Kalalau Lookout.

Stopped by the Kalalau Lookout and the view was pretty until the clouds rolled in. This part of Kauai is unfortunately susceptible to rain as one of the rainiest spots in the world is close by. Still worth a trip here to try your luck. While checking the forecasts, noticed it tends to rain more in the afternoon. Do bring... More

There are a number of overlooks and trails that allow hikers and just plain car bound tourists to see the wonderful North Coast from the west end of the island. The Canyon is spread out before you in majestic beauty

Keep going beyond the Waimea Canyon overlook, and the Kokee Lodge, to the Kalalau overlook for a wonderful view of the Kalalau valley. The road is curvy and narrow but the view is extraordinary. The overlook has restrooms. Lovely, impressive.
