If it is raining or cloudy when you arrive, wait around a while. The view is worth it. The wind will blow and the clouds will part and it is breathtaking.

We went on a only slightly cloudy day and the view was largely obscured by clouds. We waited around for half an hour and eventually got a brief glimpse of most of the view but not the whole thing. I think it's a great activity and we still had fun but I would recommend going on a clear day to... More

My wife and I were hoping to get some good views at this lookout. The first try was useless. The clouds came in and you couldn't see anything. Our second try was a little better, but the clouds and rain came in so we weren't able to see as much as we wanted plus it was chilly up there in... More

All the lookout points along your way through the canyon are beautiful and impressive, and this one does not disappoint! Be sure to stop--it'll be worth a few minutes of your time!

Even tho there is another view lookout above. This was my favourite view. The other can be foggy also on a clear sunny day but you just have wait 15 minutes or so and it will clear up. Worth the wait. You'll want to wear hiking shoes if you plan on doing the hike down. Lots of loose stones and... More

This is at the end of Canyon drive and similar to Kalalau lookout, but a little different perspective. It has a rather flat hiking route from the lookout which can be done in good weather. We hiked for about 45 minutes until it got too muddy, but there are not many options to hike along the Napali Coast and so... More

When we got to the first lookout, Kalalau, it was so foggy that we thought we had wasted our time. A kind woman said that 2 miles up was another lookout, Puuo Kila, which cleared for 5 seconds so she could take a semidecent photo. So we drove up there to even more fog and just waited. People came and... More

When we went it was completely fogged in and raining. So we went for a hike in Waimea Canyon (2hrs) where it was sunny. Stopped at the museum and ate our lunch, then headed back to the lookout and it was still fogged in. Timing is everything with these lookouts so be sure to keep an eye on the weather... More

We were tired and weary by the time we were almost finished with all the outlooks. Boy was this last one at the very end of the trail a real treat. Breathtaking. A little windy so maybe bring a sweatshirt if you are the cold type. Picture heaven for the shutter bugs
