We were there for a luau and songs honoring Kauaʻi's last king, Kaumualiʻi. It was an awesome show. We walked away with so much more knowledge of the island and everyone we met was so kind. We feel very honored to have been apart of something so authentic and real. Thank you for a great memory and congrats on an amazing show.

There was a plaque inside that said the theater was new in 1938. We went there to see the Kauai Voices perform. We were lucky enough to ge sit in the large comfortable seats which was great for legroom. There is a small refreshment stand in the lobby. The acoustics were ok for the chorus to sing.

We decided to take in a movie at the Waimea Theater in Waimea......first-time visitor. We had wanted to see the theater and they happened to be playing a movie we were wanting to see. The theater has been renovated....in the 90's, and features two rows of seats that are special .....large rattan chairs with deep comfy cushions. Our B and B host told us they are especially for the "Aunties", however you can sit in them. If one of the Aunties comes in and they are all occupied, give up your seat.......good Hawaiian manners.

While staying on the west side, took in a movie here (title of review) on 11/02. Surprisingly good venue to watch a flick. Sound was good, excellent picture on the screen, concessions area with popcorn and drinks. The theater even has 2 rows of nice wide cushioned rattan seats. If you are on the west side stop in and watch a movie in a theater built in 1938.

After a month in Kauai, we decided it was time to catch a movie at the local theater. The theater only shows one show on 3 nights of the week. Tickets on Sunday were only $6 apiece! Get there early for the good seats (wicker chairs). I love how they were playing Hawaiian music prior to the show. What a fun experience!
