Kauai is not like Oahu where there is a ton of touristy things to do, but one good stop is the spouting horn.

I've been coming to Spouting Horn for 42 years. I enjoy a brief 5-10 minute visit. The traffic has increased getting to Spouting Horn. The parking lot is usually pretty full. Outdoor stalls selling souvenirs are on the grounds near the restrooms. There are usually about ten tourists taking pictures. I can usually get close enough for a picture in... More

Small area to see the waves come under the rocks to create the spouting horn. Wouldn't go out of my way for this but it was cool.

If you have never seen water being pushed through a hole in the rocks, you will be very impressed. Not nearly as spectacular as similar sites in Mexico, but still pleasant.

If you are anywhere in the area, this is worth a quick detour. It's right off the main road. It's especially cool if the waves are bigger. Nice visual but also some pretty impressive sounds.

My wife and I stopped by this attraction twice--once in the morning and then again later in the day when we hoped for more intense wave action. The spouting water show was better the second time. But we also got a kick out of the feral chickens that seem to be everywhere in the island because here there were about... More

Easy to get to and good facility at the small park, the spouting horn is a good spot to view a unique natural feature. Very regular water spouts and probably got to thirty feet while we were there. Little trinket shops ring the park, fun stuff.

This is a treat, gives you an exciting 'rush' each time it shouts with water. Worth the drive and you will find yourself lingering here more than the time it takes to snap a selfie photo.

Good for a quick visit. You might stay 10 minutes. The blow hole is a short walk from the parking lot but you are directed to walk by a bunch of shops. The merchants will try and get your attention but didn't feel like they were too pushy. If you like little trinkets, then these shops will be of interest.
