The entire walk!

Absolutely some of the best beach walking ever! Right along the beach but do not have to deal with the sand. Paved for easy access... talked to some great people along the way... read more

Nice easy hike along the cliff side. It can be a bit windy, but the views are really nice. We started at the beach and walked along the cliff towards the golf course. Worthwhile for a quick hike. You can also watch people jumping off the cliff!

We ended up here later than ideal. Very hot at midday!. Easy walk along picturesque shore along cliff side. ok for children if kept away from edge. Sandy, and has drop off ledges. View is amazing. Did not have problems with bugs as I have noticed others mention bring spray?? Don't venture out without water tho. You can walk as... More

We took the advice of some tripadvisor reviewers and started this "hike" at sunrise.....it was beautiful and peaceful! We saw whales and sea turtles in the distance as we walked along the trail. I would not consider this a hike, but more of a nice long walk. It was not strenuous or difficult, but I a would recommend wearing shoes... More

Enter the driveway between the Grand Hyatt and golf course, drive to end and park your car. To hike the trail we entered from the beach which means you will have some climbing to do and precarious cliffs/edges to navigate but it's along the ocean and thus beautiful. For an easier walk, enter/exit from the parking lot at the end.... More

Easy trail along the coast line. Loved the chair on the cliff and view! Take water, suntan lotion and bug spray.

I have been running along this trail, since before the Hyatt was built. It is hands down my favourite running trail anywhere. We run from the Marriott Waiohai generally following the ocean, past the Hyatt, then along the cliffs, the golf course and the horse ranch until Maha'ulepo beach comes into view. I'm not as nimble as I once was... More

Great views of sunrise and surf. Trail is not well marked, and there are a maze of paths from shipwreck beach leading down the coast, but you can't get lost as you are wedged between the ocean and the golf course. Saw only one of the supposed many historical markers, as it was hardly readable, so not even sure what... More

If you are int he area this is a very nice easy hike along the coast in South Kauai, Poipu. You can start from the Grand Hyatt or the public Shipwreck's beach which has restroom facilities. An easy hike once you get up the first hill. Bring sunblock and bug spray and good walking shoes. The hike passes through the... More
