Nice beach with good snorkeling

Nice beach with good snorkeling. This was a great beach with good, but very shallow snorkeling. It is one of the busier beaches on the island.

This beach is so much fun! You can snorkel and wade in a protected area. There is a lifeguard on duty, so that is really nice. My husband and I just loved it.

Stopped by here almost everyday on our recent trip. Saw turtles resting on the beach and one day there was a Hawaiian Monk Seal. Surf was too rough to snorkel during our trip but I can see that it would be a great place to snorkel on better days.

If you want a large sandy beach this is the place. There are usually Sea Lions on the beach and quite often turtles come up to rest. Just a fun beach to hang out at.

All in the family- the littles the explorers the surfers the snorkelers the beach layers the beer sippers the shaved ice and eaters. The seal watchers the turtle spotters. They all love this place. I love the comment- if you can't be happy here- see a doctor;)

Great place for sunrises and sunsets. Hawaiian monk seals climb up on the beach in the morning after a night of feeding to veg out for 7 to 8 hours. Great place to snorkel and swim. Lifeguard on duty. Can get crowded at times.

We had a wonderful time at this beach. We saw monk seals playing in the water and beached on the shore. We saw turtles, and the snorkeling was great. This was one of my favorite beaches, its a must see.

Poipu Beach is a popular beach and worth the visit. There is free public parking across the street. The day we visited, 2 small areas on the beach were roped off due to a sea turtle and 2 Hawaiian sea monk resting on the beach. One side of the beach is well sheltered making it a friendly place for young... More

I had been to Poipu 20+ years ago and forgot how nice this is. Large grassy park to have picnics, throw a frisbee, chase kids around. Beach attached to it. Just a great location.

We were there during Spring Break, and were thrilled to see that the beach wasn't overcrowded. There are a few vendors nearby, including places to eat and rent or buy surf/bodyboard type gear. The waves were rolling and beautiful, with gorgeous shades of blue and the sand is white. A nice beach!
