This beach is a great spot to see Hawaiian Monk seals and turtles. When animals come ashore, the area is roped off, but you still get really close. Excellent opportunity for photos.

It would be good for beginner snorkeling! It is protected by a reef so water is not rough. You need to be aware that in some spots the distance between rock and water surface is very very shallow and you need to be careful... More

I would personally take my mask and rent fins.
