Pros: seals sunning on the beach, lots of chickens running around, restrooms, showers, covered picnic tables, lifeguard, great access for small children all the way to the left side. Cons: very crowded, hard to get in the water to snorkel unless you go to the...More

We spent a long afternoon here and enjoyed the waves, water and snorkeling. Great family beach. Perfect place for beach yoga, as well!

Poipu beach is very close to our hotel. We get to visit the beach twice, once for snorkeling where you actually see fishes and it is not too deep. Part of the beach is semi-circled by some rocks which reduce waves make it safe for...More

We only had a chance to walk along the beach before dinner and saw a large sea turtle testing on the beach! A local shop keeper said the titrles come there frequently near sunset to sleep!

This really is a tiny beach, but the snorkelling was actually pretty good! There might be better places on the South shore but we didn’t have time to try anywhere else on this trip.

I was on a mission to see the majestic sea turtle on our visit to the island. After doing a bit of research I found the best place to see them without snorkeling is on Poipu Beach. Sure enough after a short stroll from the...More

No visit to the South side is complete without grabbing a deli sandwich from Brenekes and then hitting the beach. There is limited sand space when you park out front the sandy stretch of beach in front of the houses and the Marriott, but that's...More

This was a fun beach to snorkel! The fish here are apparently so used to people (and being fed by people) that they come right up and surround you which makes for some fun snorkeling! The current was a bit strong outside of the "baby...More

We saw one dog outside of the beach area. Unsure if they are technically allowed, though.
