Came here on a Friday afternoon during our trip to Kauai. We found a strip of the beach which was uncrowded, which is not ready to do in other islands like Maui or Waikiki in Oahu. The sun was near setting and the lights bouncing off the waves made the ocean a beautiful live golden light display. We soaked our... More

A great place to bring kids, some covered picnic tables and bathrooms with outdoor shower/foot bath. Parking was easy across the street. Had live turtles on the beach and a seal that swam in to say hello!

Been here off and on for 30 years. I like to come in January. I rent a condo in Poipu so I am close to that fantastic beach. Monk seals and sea turtles on the beach. The lifeguards and volunteers keep them safe. It is a special island. Being from Seattle it is not too hot. Some say for newly... More

We went for a walk down to this beach it's a very nice Beach to hang out at and swim and relax. There are bathrooms and a changing room in the bathroom and an outdoor shower. Great for families and supervised children. It's very clean and safe.

This is a very nice life-guarded beach with a protected area suitable for children. I often see wildlife- seals and turtles -resting on the sand.

Poipu is a wonderful, kid friendly, laid back beach with a boogie boarding beach for teens and adults at the opposite end of the large grassy area. This small cove is known as Brennecke's Beach and is a fun area but watch out it does have RIP currents, so pay attention to the warning flags. It is not unusual to... More

Beach is really great for fun playing in the water and exploring the natural lava island at the point of the beach! Some shallow protected areas for small children. Watch out for reef rocks underwater, Do Not walk on the reef! Lots of sandy area to swim. Facility's onsite. Restaurants nearby. Parking nearby, get there early for a shady spot!

Really nice little beach, tucked away in Poipu. It's a great place to watch the sunrise, and there are public washrooms available. The morning we walked down, there were 3 sea turtles on the beach!

We've been to Poipu Beach for three Christmas breaks and found it to be a wonderful beach for everyone, including our two young grandchildren ! We've seen the endangered Monk Seal on the beach each time, used boogie boards, gone snorkeling and seen beautiful fish etc. and built sand castles ! What makes it so great is that there is... More
