Took a walk over here along the beach and saw a green turtle ( honu) The water is very warm and perfect for swimming for all ages. There is a huge grassy lawn with picnic tables and restrooms. Great place to watch the sunset.

I love this beach and have been coming here all my life, wanted to update everyone out there, the fabulous children's play structure near the sand is GONE :( removed. It is May 21st, 2017.

This was one of my family's favorite beaches on Kauai. There is a large bay with a reef that protects it from the larger waves. The main bay is great for snorkeling and seeing fish. The main inlet is rocky on the bottom which provides great habitat for fish, eels and crabs. There is also a great white sand beach... More

What a great beach. You can see sea turtles swimming by the beach and on the beach. You can also see the Hawaiian monk seals.

Thursday mid afternoon under mostly cloudy sky's. Just got in the the south side from Princeville. No problem finding parking which appeared safe. The water was the right temp. The surf was fun. I'll come back with a boggy board next time. Noticed a medium size (12-15" in diameter) turtle swimming near me, how cool is that. After a half... More

This is a beautiful and small family sand beach which is a nice, safe place for smaller children and families to feel safe to play.

Nice, calm area to snorkel. Fair amount of fish to see. Good for inexperienced & beginners. Turtles were sunning themselves.

After numerous articles and awards associated with this beach, we decided to check it out since we had heard it had some pretty good snorkeling (waves in the Poipu area weren't great at the time). When we arrived, the beach was PACKED. Went out for a little snorkeling, but the visibility was relatively poor compared to other spots, and the... More

When we first arrived at this beach parking was tough, and then finding a spot was tough, and then it seemed as though there wasn't much reef and we though snorkeling would be tough. Turns out I was very wrong, the snorkeling at this beach was amazing. When you first get in there doesn't appear to be much of a... More

We chased a rainbow to this beach. Looked like a nice place to spend the day. More sheltered than most beaches on the south end of the island. Lots of parking and flat walk to get to the beach unlike so many of the beaches on the north end of the island.
