I have to start off by saying that this adventure is not for everyone. It is more challenging than Norwegian rates it.

With that said, it was definitely something I would recommend to anyone that likes a more physically demanding excursion. It's not overly difficult, but it is physical. The scenery is amazing and the tour guides were knowledgeable.

The adventure starts off with kayaking. After a quick tutorial, you launch into a very shallow area so you can get some practice in before heading out. You would think that 2 1/2 miles is a lot, but it goes much quicker than expected. There are a couple of stops along the way and you get some good stories and a little history (probably exaggerated, but funny). Before you realize it, you're done.

I won't get into too much detail because I would hate to spoil it, but it's a quick hike to the vans and a short drive to the trailhead to the waterfalls.

The trail down is a little steep and slick so it's not for those with mobility issues. Again, I don't want to spoil it do I'll just say that the waterfalls are amazing and it's so worth the trip.

Thank you to our tour guides for one of the best excursions I was able to experience.

Aloha! Thank you so much for your kind review. Kauai is a beautiful and wild place, and we love sharing it with visitors! It definitely earns its name of the Garden Island. The adventures here are always just that, adventurous, and we enjoy every minute of it, and are happy to hear you do too ;). Our guides were all so happy to read your review. See you next time, and aloha!

What to do the day before my birthday? Why not rappel down 2 waterfalls? And I'm SO glad my boyfriend and I did. Matt and Renan were champion guides. They gave amazing instructions, even using a Spidey doll to illustrate the L position (clever and creepy at the same time). Matt claims it's practice for his upcoming role as a new Dad. With Matt guiding from above the waterfalls and wet-suited Renan doing the fireman's belay in the water landing, we felt safe in venturing down the slippery routes. I also appreciated that rope rails were set up along the wet and muddy trails. I wanted to take home the Tabis water shoes but I left them behind for the next crazy tourist (or even local) to attempt this thrilling excursion. What a super pre-birthday gift to myself!

I come from a family that loves to travel. We spent a week in Hawaii and did every excursion under the sun, celebrating a wedding. We are a family that loves adventure but I myself am always super scared and nervous when we try new things and I am especially terrified of heights. This tour was incredible in so many ways, mainly due to our guides Matt and Renan. They were kind, funny, super organized and accommodating, and helped me so much through my fear of heights and ensured I had the best experience possible. The scenery was incredible...totally untouched and natural in its beauty. Each waterfall we repelled down was better than the last and even though it was a high level to repel from, the guides made it seem easy because of how much they help you through it and ensure your safety. The waterfalls were stunning and we were totally immersed in nature. I was in awe of the total experience. There is really nothing like it.

This was an incredible experience. The guides, Matt and Naan, were outstanding, very patient, explained the adventure so even a rock could follow along and not misunderstand what was expected and how to survive.... I totally recommend this adventure of repelling off the waterfalls even for a old person and his lovely wife, of 67 years old.

Mahalo, to the great adventure and the guides...

Fitting into the harness for this excursion was one of my weightloss goals. I had called twice before booking convinced it still wouldn't fit. Yuliya was incredibly encouraging and helpful over the phone. She arranged for me to arrive early to try the harness on so I wasn't embarrassed trying it on in front of everyone. Nan was super supportive and positive when I tried it on and it was actually loose! Both guides were great and made sure things were safe and fun. I recomend anyone who can do it dont miss out on this excursion. I'll be doing this again on my future trips to the island. Thank you guys you were wonderful!

This is definitely an adventure...but one incredibly well worth taking. I had some trepidation about booking this because, well, nobody in our family (wife, and two teens: 16 & 13) had ever rapelled before, and obviously this activity presents a bit of both a physical and mental challenge. Ultimately, though, all of us loved this and are so glad that we did it. Matt and Kate are absolutely amazing guides: both were incredibly patient, supportive, and encouraging. Despite any apparent risk factor, we all felt safe the entire time, and that includes during a brief spell when one of us accidentally ended up inverted. I also have to say that it's a fulfilling, and unique, experience when you participate in an activity with people whom you've never met before and you find yourselves willing each other on and applauding for one another. This is definitely one of those experiences of a lifetime, and we would all highly recommend this to others.

Our family did the waterfall repelling. We did many things during our 2 week trip to Kauai and this was by far our favorite. My kids ( 13 and 16) and my husband all participated. The hike up and back is a little bit rough, the train it just a path that has been cut through the trees etc so you do need to be in decent shape for this adventure. it had rained shortly before we went so it was muddy and slippery, definitely be ready to get dirty. We did not mind this at all and we all made it no problem (only a few slips and falls lol) they do have ropes to hang onto next to the trail which was great and hey provide you shoes as well. The guides were really kind and encouraging and did a great job of teaching us how to repel etc.. It was the 1st time repelling for myself and 2 kids and the guides made it so easy to learn. I would definitely recommend this trip Like I said it was our favorite day out of the 2 weeks we stayed on Kauai. Id also suggest to ware a baseball cap under the helmet it helps keep the water out of your face while repelling down the fall.

This was seriously my favorite part of our entire 10 day trip! We felt safe the entire time and had an absolute blast! Matthew was fantastic. They provided shoes. I was glad I wore a rash guard, but they did have tops if needed. I recommend wearing a hat under the helmet as it helps keep the water out of your eyes. They also took photos that we purchased for a very reasonable price. The location is great as you get to see where several movies were filmed also. Fun, informative hike along the way. I want to go again!

Beyond fabulous!!! I've spent 23 years visiting Kauai and had no idea this experience was even offered. What a rush for us oldies both over 63 years old . Expert guides Renan and Matt made sure we were ready to tackle both the 30' and 60' waterfalls after a dry run on land. Safety is a priority and not once did we feel hesitant, nervous or unprepared. Their enthusiasm for the sport and in seeing their clients find joy in such a unique environment is infectious. It truly is the activity of a lifetime on Kauai and we are very glad that we booked the adventure. We can't wait to get back next year and do it all over again.

My wife and daughter did this last May and raved about it, so this time I and two friends joined her for a repeat visit. Our guides were Matt and Kate. These two made the experience so enjoyable. The rappelling was awesome but for me the guides are the key to making it an enjoyable time. Both of these guides are patient and know their stuff. They make you feel safe at all times and it is easy to trust them. Would highly recommend this company for an enjoyable excursion while on Kauai
