We make our trip to Hilo Hattie's every time we are on Kauai. In the past it has always been the place to find just about anything at a reasonable price. Not any longer! They have cut down on the merchandise and it is very expensive! The clothing was always expensive now even the gifts are ridiculous. We walked in... More

If you are looking for red, white or blue Hawaiian matching shirts & dresses this is the place to go. They do have other things, but most were a little higher priced than I had seen at the ABC stores. My husband got a t-shirt he liked that he hadn't seen anywhere else but he did pay more for it.... We always make a stop to get the grand children some matching outfits that are on sale. This trip did not disappoint. We got my grandson and grand daughter matching white print Hawaiian shirt and dress and artificial leis. They looked so cute later when they posed for pictures by the ocean and then the next day when we went... More

Hilo Hattie's seems to have outlived it's time. Pretty cheesy Hawaiian apparel at about 3 times the price of other nearby stores including Wal Mart and KMart with about the same quality level. When you enter they present you with a shell lei which is a nice touch. The day we stopped in the air conditioning was broken and it... More

Once again we tried Hilo Hattie's. It was so unbelievably hot. We came in and out in less than five minutes. No shopping is worth baking for

If you want to get your Hawaiian clothes, this is the place. It's also a great place to get some gifts to take home. Look for coupons in those tourist booklets all over town.

I bought my very first Hawaiian shirt when I visited the Hilo Hatties store in Honolulu in 1982 when I was a poor college student schlepping around the Pacific Rim with a backpack. I couldn't resist the temptation to visit the original store in Lihue when I recently made my first trip back to Hawaii since that original adventure. They... More

After convincing the men to take us to Hilo Hattie's, we all enjoyed shopping there. My sister-in-law and I both bought several dresses and even the men found items they wanted to buy. Recommend this for buying grandchildren's shirts/shorts, etc. I love my dresses and have worn them since I have come home. Great selection and beautiful dresses aplenty at... More
