In my opinion, it wasn't worth the cost. I felt really bad for large families that had paid to come. It was really short, and the included dinner was not actually part of the luau. It was just a buffett at the restaurant on site at a different location a couple of hours before the luau started. Also, unless you were on the first row, you couldn't see the full person dancing (just hips up basically). The chairs the audience sat in were all below the stage and on the same, level ground. Plus people kept holding up cell phones to take pictures and record. If there was anything we would've done differently in our trip, we said we would've either tried a different luau or skipped it altogether.

This is not a luau! There is not a roasted pig in the sand, there is not even any sand. The food is in a restaurant by the pool. Food was just ok. Then you move upstairs and wait an hour until 7:30pm to get to in and sit down even though you have reservations. Our show lasted 41 minutes, that right ,41 whole minutes. The eight people that did the show were ok, in fact the male fire dancers were fantastic and the pretty dancing girls did an excellent job. However, if this is the only luau you can find, SKIP IT.

This was the only”Luau” we could get into during our stay in Kauai. I was not sure how it would be presented but know Marriott usually does a great job. Unfortunately , as excited as I was to attend I was disappointed in the dinner. The food was mediocre and not the variety I expected. Although the salad bar was good. The show was spectacular and loved seeing the dancers carry on the family tradition. I would highly recommend the show .

We have been to several luaus on Kauai. While this was not our favorite, we loved the show because of the long family tradition. The neice was very graceful and a delight to watch. The son was fascinating and quite a Daredevil with the fire, as well as a superb dancer. The dinner was very going but more restaurant buffet than traditional luau style. The macadamia cream pie was out of this world good and the guave chiffon cake was a tasty delight.

Pathetic. This was more of a middle school production that an actual luau. 1-The food was in a poolside restaurant and was mediocre at best. The one drink included was nothing special. 2- Following dinner you must go upstairs to a courtyard area, wait in a long line to sit on rental style chair and watch a man play a guitar, sing poorly and mostly reminisce about the old days of his parents. The stage was very low to the ground and you couldn’t see the dancers legs or feet; they’re pretty important in dance. There were very few hula dances, not a true show. Don’t waste your time and money. Take my advice go to a real luau.
