Great service. We stayed on the north side of Kauai and they dropped off a moped promptly at 9:30 am and picked it up the next day. Very easy to work with. Definitely would recommend. After reading other reviews we got the 400 cc moped for two people and it was perfect. Definitely went fast and worked well. It was the perfect way to explore the island.

We had an excellent time. We did 340 miles of touring the Island and it is the best way to do it. Drop off at our hotel was on time and pick up was flawless. Both mopeds were in excellent condition. I highly recommend Kauai Mopeds and will be a return customer. I recommend booking a couple months before your trip. they usually are booked out about a month or more ahead of time.

Thank you, Kauai Mopeds! I scooted on a 200cc scooter from end of the island to the other, and all the way up through Waimea Canyon. Amazing! Even in this cooler month, the drizzles were invited, adding to the magical atmosphere of the island. The owners of Kauai Mopeds are friendly and knowledgeable, and able to steer the passenger to make the most fitting choice based on what they are looking to do. For instance, a 50cc is totally sufficient if you're staying in one general 10 or 15-mi range on the island, but if you're looking to travel from one end to the other in a day, then it takes a faster bike. I nearly went for a full-on motorcycle, and humbly received the recommendation to go with a fast moped. Considering that I was hopping on and off the moped to look at mountains, trees, lizards, horses, chickens, shops, vistas.... it was sooooo easy and fun with the scooter. So thanks for the recommendation. Also, they pick up and drop off wherever you're at, which makes planning simple, too.
Please note, if you're planning on riding on the island, bring a wind-breaker or protective jacket! It can get exceptionally windy on certain days. But even that's part of the experience!

This place is great to rent from. Super friendly and helpful. Bike was in great condition (Suzuki DS 650) and rode like a champ. Started up easily every time. Was sad to say goodbye to my “Kauai steed”. I also decided to extend my rental by one day and it was a fast easy phone call.
One caveat: when you book online, you can select a time for delivery, however, you’ll be sent an email informing you to call them first to ensure availability. When I did so, I was informed that the time I selected (9:30) was unavailable but they could deliver at 11:30. Not sure why their system is set up this way, but I’m not complaining, as it was no big deal. I just want to inform anyone who may be on a time schedule to expect this.
Also, they deliver and pick up, and I didn’t even need to be present for the pick up (I was instructed to lock the keys in the rear case of the bike, which some models of their bikes/scooters may not have - I’m not sure). This was super convenient for me not having to be there to drop it off since we had a flight out that morning. Will definitely rent from them again!!

Obviously, everything about Kauai was incredible, but renting scooters took it to the next level. The pickup and drop-off process was super easy. The scooters ran great and the person we interacted with was incredibly nice. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Total pleasure renting from Kauai Mopeds, they were super friendly and responsive. The mopeds themselves worked perfectly, were delightfully easy to ride and had killer gas mileage (90 miles on one tank!) Nothing like filling up your vehicle's tank for 2 bucks. Will definitely rent again if we're ever back!

Russ went above and beyond accommodating us for our scooter rental. We will be back to the island soon and certainly renting again through Kauai mopeds. I especially appreciated the great tires with really great traction. Many out there would slap on a pair of some slippery crappy tires in order to save a few bucks. Thanks again Russ!

Kauai Mopeds delivered a great condition Suzuki Burgman to us on time. It was excellent for the two of us to get around the island. Snorkel gear including fins fit easily under the seat and there is plenty of room in the top case to carry everything else. We used the scooter like a car but without any parking problems. Fast and safe enough to go entirely around the island. Awesome.

We wanted to view the island as we drove around and a car was not cutting it for us. We were able to rent a scooter from Kauai Mopeds on short noticed and had a blast. Riding a motorcycle around the island is a great way to scout out areas that you want to spend full days at. If you are licensed then we do recommend going around the island this way at least once.

My wife and I rented the Honda Forza and it was perfect - tons of fun to ride around locally and across the island. We got the scooter so that we would have some transportation to beaches, dinner, and shopping, but ended up going on several rides in the country just to enjoy the ride.
It was easy to ride carrying a passenger and had no trouble getting up to 50 mph, uphill, with both of us on board. There was also plenty of storage space between the top box and under-seat storage space. We had no problem taking a beach bag (towels, sunscreen, snacks, etc.), hats, jackets, extra glasses, shoes, etc.
The customer service was excellent and the bike was trouble-free. We would definitely rent from Kauai Mopeds again!

You'll need to ask them. I was never asked my age so I think you're set. If you think your age might be an issue please to an MSF course before you're trip. It's not expensive and can be completed over a weekend. Increasing your safety and handling ability before you're trip will only increase the enjoyment your get during your trip.
