My wife and I caught a movie at this place during our recent visit to Kauai. We have been here to see shows over the years and in the past it was rather dated and in need of updating. On our most recent visit we found that the seating had been updated and they now use digital projection along with... More

Horrible staff. Rude, inconsiderate, discriminatory attitudes. Dirty and awful smelling theaters. Not sanitary at all! Unfortunately the only cinema this side island. But still not worth the money spent for an awful experience.

My adopted mother took me and my adopted sisters (all 15) to the theater today to reward us for our good grades. When arriving to this cinema, we decided that we want to watch Kung Fu Panda 3, just walking in (I Guess by our age) she assumed that we came to watch a rated R movie and immediately asked... More

This is a charming little multiplex. We saw Star Wars. The auditorium is interesting in that the aisle is the middle. (Kind a old school) The sound and picture were great. The staff was nice. Wish I was going to be there in Feb 2016 for their Film Festival. Great movies.

We enjoyed seeing a movie on our vacation, and were delighted to find a small audience sharing a large theater, so we had an unobstructed view of the screen.

To be honest, it does not stink as bad as it used to, and some of the seats are better(really doesn't say much), but far from a decent theater. The 3-D military movies I have Seen have been out of focus on the right side of the screen, and the 7.1 surround is kind of a joke. My last trip... More

Went here to watch "Star Wars". We were told the tickets would go on sale at 7:15, the doors didn't open till 7:30 and the movie also started late. Make sure you have cash for the tickets. No one told us this and a sign was not posted. Thank goodness there was a ATM at the theater. Not well organized.

Most importantly Kuhio Grove takes only cash. It is a basic cinema with 4 screens (at least one shows 3D). I thought the chairs were fine but my husband found them uncomfortable. Sound and video quality were fine. The popcorn was just okay plain--it might have been better with butter (they offered).

Every week I look at the Kukui Grove Cinema listings only to find the titles are STILL the same as they were last week. Three weeks in a row with the same movies. Yes, the place is old; yes, the popcorn is not fresh, and even if it were popped right before the theater opened, Kaua`i air will kill it;... More
