About
Experience a 60 minute air tour of some of the most spectacularly beautiful scenery you will ever see. Air Ventures Hawaii offers 3 unique options for flight travel around the beautiful island of Kauai. Board our 6 passenger G-8 Airvan for breathtaking views of our diversely landscaped Island of Kauaii. During your 60-minute flight, you will view, from your large bubble window, the lush valleys, picturesque Waimea Canyon, cascading waterfalls, miles of Kauai's scenic beaches, as well as the magnificent Kalalau cathedrals of the NaPali Coast. For a more private air tour we offer a Cessna 182 affording the same awe inspiring views, but with only two or three passengers per flight on your 60-minute tour. Air Ventures Hawaii also offers you the ride of a lifetime in our 60-minute air tour in Kauai's only open cockpit bi-plane, our YMF-5 Classic Aircraft. While the pilot operates the controls from the rear, our passengers sit side-by-side in the comfortable OPEN cockpit. Each passenger has the option of wearing a nostalgic cloth helmet and goggles, together with a modern headset providing continuous two-way communication with the pilot.

This will be my best memory of our trip to Hawaii. Found the info online while planning our trip. Called to talk to someone and got a real person. They answered all my questions thoroughly and I felt really good about it. They took care of every detail, picked us up at the shuttle stop from the cruise ship, very personable and accommodating, and made it a great experience. They were keeping abreast of the weather reports. It was very cost effective compared to helicopters, which we had decided we didn't feel comfortable doing. They also hooked us up with a great luau that evening that we were wanting to do. We would do it again if we ever return to Hawaii, but this time in their bi-plane.

We were fortunate to have a good weather day. Staff and pilots highly professional, first class, but extremely personable: loved answering questions and telling stories. Saw the entire island, with extra loops off the northerlies coast to see a number of humpback whales. Fantastic value compared to chopper tours. Highly ecommended.

Three of us took 1 hour flight to see Kauai from the air! It was a great flight and the crew did everything possible to make it so. The weather was a little ify when we arrived and they waited to leave until some rain passed to make it the best possible. Ray told great stories and kept us entertained and informed the entire flight. It is really something to see the island from the air. I chose a plane rather than a helicopter because I don't like how noisy copters are and because of the price. I stand by my choice 100%. The plane went at a slower pace, allowing us more time to see the sites, and was not obnoxiously loud and was much more cost effective. I felt safe at all times. Thanks Air Ventures for a memory not soon forgotten.

Six hours of sights and sound of Kaua'i by airplane, boat, and van. By van, viewed the north and central shores of the island with a variety of beach, restaurant, and cultural information (included a stop for lunch). By boat, traveled up the Wailua River for a quick visit to Fern Grotto. By plane, saw the entire island including whales in the ocean.

It sounds like you had a great vacation and I'm happy to hear we made part of that happen. Having the opportunity to show you our "Island Paradise" from above was our pleasure. You were part of a great group and we so enjoyed having you join us. We also appreciate that you took time to share your experience with others who may be considering our tour. Wishing you a happy and healthy year ahead! Mahalo, Jill

From the first contact through the flight we couldn't have been happier with the decision to choose Air Ventures Hawaii to tour Kauai by air! We saw online that everything was booked but decided to call just in case. Good that we did. Although there was not an opening, Jill worked hard to figure out how they could accommodate our schedule! What a gem she is! Eventually we scheduled with her Husband Ray to take the 2 of us up in a Cessna for a private tour. Turns out Ray was a career pilot for United who started this company in retirement. We were blown away by the level of service, attention to safety and thoughtfulness to make sure we felt comfortable and had an amazing experience. Our flight exceeded all of our expectations. Ray provided so much insight on the island and specifically highlighted details. Like so many days on Kauai there was a bit of rain but we successfully kept one step ahead of it and were chased by rainbows!! It was just incredible. We were able to view the whole island including waterfalls, Napali Coast (we now know were the best paths, beaches and sea caves are), Waimea Canyon North Shore and gardens. But the best thing is that the whole experience seemed like we were being guided by a good friend. It was really a rare experience!

My husband and I visited Kauai in February and opted for their Big Kahuna tour, which is the most popular. We opted to do it on our last day on the island, which was actually really nice as we were flying over many landmarks, hikes, etc, that we had already seen from the ground and it was fascinating to get a different view while still having some understanding of the geography. I would definitely recommend doing it this way. Tom, who we called to ask a few questions, couldn't have been more helpful and he even picked us up from dropping off our rental car, then drove us to the terminal after the flight. Talk about door to door service! We were in a 7-seater plane with the pilot, Justin, and two other couples. Justin was wonderful! Personable, informative, entertaining, and seemed to be making a true effort to keep the ride as smooth as possible. I usually have trouble with motion sickness in small vehicles but had no trouble here. The views of the island are stunning beyond belief. Words cannot describe what it is like to see Kauai from this view. Highly recommend this tour and company!

Fantastic! The stunning views were exceeded only by Ray's great narration and experienced piloting! The large glass windows and Ray's skill in getting us close to Kauai's terrain that is not accessible any other way afforded a priceless experience. The cabin air was comfortable and they even provided cold towels and water bottles for each to ease any motion sickness. This is SO MUCH LESS than helicopter rides and you see every bit as much, possibly more! Strongly recommend this outfit. We'll come again!

Air Ventures Hawaii is absolutely the best way to see all of the best parts of the island, from the Na Pali coast, the Waimea valley, and multiple waterfalls. Our pilot was great and setting up the tour was low-stress and hassle free. The price for an hour's trip was very reasonable. I recommend going after you've spent a few days on the island, as you can pick out places you've already been but from a totally different perspective.

Ray, the pilot was excellent and flyed through many views of the entire Kauai island - many water falls, Canyons, Napali Coast. The views on Napali coast in North-West were awesome. I highly recommend anyone visiting Kauai to view Napali coast views either through air or boat or hike (permit needed). Canyons can be visited by car.
