Very lovely. Not cheesey at all. All performers are quite talented. Very organized set-up. Enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend to others. Food delicious. Only one disappointment: With the heft price tag and the promise of the Open Bar, we arrived to get quite the...More

The luau was beautiful. The weather was wonderful, the scenery was amazing but the story line was mesmerizing. The average tourist received the Hawaiian experience while being educated through entertainment. It gave me a whole new respect for the cultural richness of the residents. The...More

Not only do you get a great luau but a first class stage performance as well!

This Luau is the one to go to. Very different from others, far more interesting. The pageantry portrayed the history of the people of Hawai'i in a very impressionistic, dramatic fashion. There's no "embarass the tourist" crap going on here or forced interactions. Amazing firedance...More

Dazzling! Far from the usual cheesy, beach-resort style Luau. It was held at an historic sugar plantation, and we really enjoyed roaming around the grounds and touring the plantation house, which had been restored with period furnishings. The food was authentic, plentiful, and delicious. The...More

Our family of four, including two young children, thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Lu'au Kalamaku! There is lots to do before the lu'au even begins, including traditional Hawaiian games and craft demonstrations on the grounds of the beautiful Kilohana Plantation and shopping at the manor...More

I've lived on Kauai my entire life, and have attended my share of the requesite Luaus when guests come to town. This Luau was a breath of fresh air. You get all the basic Luau stuff at the beginning, but in addition to that there...More

This is one of the best shows I've seen in the Islands and the best show on Kauai. The cast was spectacular and took you on the journey accross the sea from Tahiti to Kauai! Top notch performance plus all of your drinks are included...More

This luau was recommended by Norwegian Cruise Lines on the Hawaiian cruise. It was expensive( $95 + tax per person). It was awful. A HUGE commercial money maker. There were about 800 people there and nothing was authentic except for the show at the end-...More

We did not find the entertainment to be really loud and we sat in the front row next to the stage. There were lots of young children present who appeared to enjoy the show. I believe the show was over by 9pm.
