I am a quilter and absolutely love this store for its helpful staff, kits, fabrics, display quilts (wow!) and many sewn articles for sale. It has absolutely beautiful Hawaiian fabrics - how much can I fit into my suitcase? Love the store - I visit it each time I am in Kauai.

My wife is a long-time quilter, and her eyes lit up when she saw the large selection of fabrics and supplies inside the Kapaia Stitchery store. Lucky for me they have the traditional "husband waiting room" on the front porch, so I could rest comfortably in the pleasant shade outdoors while my wife went wild inside. She found several tropical... More

What a place. Even if you are not a quilter (I am not, unfortunately) there are lots of finished products for sale, including pillowcases, eyeglass cases, seatbelt covers, stuffed turtles, etc. Definitely worth a visit.

One of the best places on the island to get Hawaiian fabric and patterns to assist you once back home. If you are interested in quilts, you cannot go wrong in visiting the Kapaia Stitchery. The staff is friendly and very helpful, even if you are simply in mind to browse.

Beautiful selection of colourful fabrics, kits, and needlepoint canvas. Staff were lovely! They also sell a good selection of made on Kauai gifts and quilts, as well as Aloha wear. I can't wait to visit again!

I am not a quilter - do not enjoy sewing - but this store is so beautiful! All the different fabrics!!!! A burst of color the instant you walk through the door! If you are like me, you will still end up buying something here - because they have the loveliest items for sale - tote bags - turtles -... More

There is so much to see in this little place. Lots of Hawaiian materials and quilting packs. Would be great to see a greater choice of cross stitch packs or other little projects to complete that don't require a sewing machine and can be completed while on vacation.

If you want it, they got it! Amazing variety of batik and Hawaiian fabrics. Lots of patterns. Everything is packaged so nicely, all you have to do is drop it in your suitcase. Jean the owner is so sweet...she picked us up at our hotel and took us back. They will also ship your packages for you from the store.... More
