We provide horseback tours for all experience levels, from first-timers to advanced riders. For those with more riding experience, we offer private tours, where you can pick up the pace, including trotting and cantering. Guests can enjoy a nonstop horseback ride, or select one of our waterfalls tours that include a waterfall swim and a picnic lunch.

We purchased a private 3 hour tour with the ranch as we are experienced riders and did not want to just tag along with a big group. Greg was our guide and was fantastic. He has been on the island for years and knows a lot about all the history of the island. The ride was fun and the scenes were beautiful. We had a great picnic lunch at the waterfall and swimming hole of hot Teriyaki Chicken and white rice. The experience was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to ride horses in Kauai.

Anniversaary ride

It was a great late afternoon on Kauai and made for a very nice and relaxing ride through the Kauai countryside. We've lived here for just under 20 years and am still amazed at the beauty of Kauai's inner island and when up in the mountains the very last place you think you are is on a Pacific tropical island. Silver Falls is fortunate enough to be right in the thick of this mountain beauty with it's peaks above the clouds. Not too many places like Kauai !!

We were on a summer trip from Oahu (no traveling outside of the state due to COVID) & my son wanted to go horse back riding. I've ridden before but my son hadn't. The entire staff was amazing, so friendly, helpful & patient. Bonus is we met someone who 'olelo Hawai'i (sorry didn't get her name)! My son attends a Hawaiin Medium Education school so he loves when he can 'olelo with people outside of school & home. Our guide Lance was a joy to speak to & gave so much information about each horse & their individual personalities. Best part was I was unaware of the Kama'aina discounts they were offering so had paid full price online but when we arrived they quickly refunded me the difference. The horse are gentle & friendly & you can tell that they are family to the staff & ranch! The grounds are beautiful. Love this place, we will be back!

A great tour - I highly recommend

I took the Silver Falls 3 hour tour with some friends a couple of weeks ago, and we all loved it. We still talk about it. We all live here and thought this would be a fun outing for us. Juan was our guide. He did an awesome job of keeping us together on our horses but distanced at the same time. He told us all about the native trees and the history of the property, all while guiding us through the beautiful landscape. We ended up at a waterfall and stream where we had lunch and swam. Just a side note to let you know that these tours are a casual walk on the trails. You can book private tours with Silver Falls Ranch if you're looking for a more vigorous ride. I highly recommend doing a tour with Silver Falls Ranch. The team and horses are awesome, and the property is gorgeous.

Heaven under the rainbow!

Aloha! If you are looking for even more paradise within paradise in Kauai than you will want to spend some time horseback riding at Silver Falls Ranch.

The animals are beautifully behaved and safe for beginners to advanced riders. I had not been riding in about 20 years but felt completely at ease and comfortable with my pal Romeo.

A warm a big Mahalo to the staff! It was an easy and pleasant experience from the initial booking through dismount! The lovely woman at the front desk was patient and extremely hospitable. She made sure we scheduled the best tour for our needs and had properly fitted gear (including raincoats)! She also met us halfway through the day (at the waterfall) to drop off water, juice and snacks  Her love for the island shines through her sunny disposition!

Don’t let the cloudy weather scare you away! The climate changed about five times within the three-hour ride, but it was all part of the adventure. We were well prepared and entertained by our guide Greg. He was a great conversationalist who’s love for Kauai (North Shore) came through with his vast knowledge of the island’s history, animals, birds and landscape!

You will leave the ranch with a new appreciation for the Hawaiian Islands along with a few fun facts, enjoy!

My husband & granddaughter took the 2-hr silver falls tour. This was my granddaughter’s first time riding a horse that wasn’t going in circles. She was soooo excited and said she would never forget her ride or her horse’s name, Creek! Thank you to Juan for the great tour and making her experience so memorable! As an aside I did not go on the tour but walked the grounds — beautiful & serene!

A ride in the tropical countryside

My husband and I went on a ride with trail master Tuckus while on Kauai last week. We had a great time. Tuckus was polite, informative, amusing and down right fun to spend time with. The Ranch is a beautiful piece of property. It was nice to see some of the interior of the island rather then the coast, we spent a lot of time on the coast, later in the week. Thank you for another great memory for our Hawaiin holiday!

Amazing horseback ride at Silver Falls Ranch!

My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful and delightful horseback ride through this beautiful ranch! Our guide was Juan. Such a nice, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful young man! He gave us precise instructions on how to guide our horses and was helpful during the ride with guidance for us and the horses. We loved his passion and commitment to learning more about the ranch and Hawaii so that he can be an even better guide! We would definitely recommend this. The horses were well behaved and gentle, which was important to us since we have only basic horse riding skills and aren't as young as we used to be! He assisted me in getting on and off of my horse. A wonderful experience and memory from our trip!

Silver Falls Ranch is a truly magical place; stunningly beautiful land in the interior of Kauai at the base of Namahana (the mountains near Kilauea). The land is healthy, vibrant and well cared for. The staff incredibly friendly knowledgeable and helpful. And our horses were incredibly well behaved, responsive and easy to ride.

New owners took over about 4 years ago and have made many improvements. Staff was sharing how grateful they were to the ownership for the support and care given to everyone who works there. Ownership has also driven initiatives to make their trail rides accessible to the local community.

Highly recommend. A great experience all around and positive vibes from everyone.

The 90 minute ride was fantastic. The beauty of the landscape along with the peaceful ride was accented by a friendly guide who shared his knowledge of plants and landmarks. Every employee we had contact with from the booking to our departure from the ranch was friendly and very personable.
