Kealia Beach is a nice beach to just kick back and relax at. It is easy to find with lots of parking. It has Lifeguards and public restrooms. We walked in the clean sand and watched the surfers ride the waves.

Soft sand and no rocks. By far our favorite beach on both Oahu and Kauai. My kids loved it and so did I. We did lots of boogie boarding.

Kealia Beach is right along the roadway, just north of Kapa'a. There is plenty of parking and restrooms. There is also a long paved path, for riding bikes or pulling coolers. And there is plenty of room along the water. Seems to be very popular, and it's a great beach with soft sand! Great for swimming and surfing.

If you're looking for some wave action when it is dead calm everywhere else on the north shore, this is the place. Having been to Kauai mostly in winter, we found the North Shore beaches pretty sedate to visit in May. But Kealia has more of what we are accustomed to. The northern most portion of the beach is great... More

This north shore beach is located right of the highway. There is lots of parking, covered pavilions, restrooms, a shower and tons of super soft sand. It is also easily accessed via the Kauai Path which is a great way to see some of the beautiful north shore. Great beach to hang out on and do some swimming. Be careful... More

We really enjoyed this beach. The sand was very soft and smooth. I couldn't believe how quiet it was. Only a handful of people visited while we were there. We stayed for 5 hours and suntanned and watched the huges waves. There is alot of large trees if you want to get out of the sun.

Beautiful beach. Calm enough for little ones but still enough wave action for the teenagers to have a blast. Relaxing for the adults. Beautiful view. Parking is available too.

We spent time on this beach with our 6 and 8 year olds when cycling the excellent coastal path. It has a lifeguard and there are toilets and a shower nearby. It's a long stretch and at the far end there are trees offering shade. The water, on our visit, was calm and suitable for children.

This is a gorgeous stretch of sand just north of Kapaa. There is plenty of parking, covered beach pavilions and a bath house on the North side of the beach. The lifeguard station is also well to the North. The waves here break in shallow water and often break twice making it tricky for swimming. I wouldn't bring kids here... More
