It's a workout, but worth it.

We went at 7 AM. 2nd group to arrive at the falls. definitely wear water sports sandals. We hiked thru mud. Bug repellent is a must. It is a workout.

This was definitely the highlight of my time in Kauai. We had a great guide in Kathleen who was very knowlegible about kayaking, our hiking route, nature and the history of the area. Kathleen is a total rockstar. The hike culminated with a beautiful waterfall. It is important that you are prepared to be out there for a while. The... More

We rented for 60$ a kayak for two persons. We easily have got the kayak on the top of our car, got a map and very good Information and could experience the wailua on our own. It was a great day. We had kayak, hiking and swimming below a romantic water fall. On the way back we could visit additionally... More

This place was great - very reasonable prices, super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. I was a little worried about having to put the kayak in the river ourselves, but Matt showed my husband and I how to do it and it was no problem at all. Much cheaper than the place that is right on the Wailua river, and... More

I was drawn to Wailua Kayak adventures because they were $90/ pair versus $90/per person like the others. Then I saw they focus on small groups and was sold. I arrived with my mom and the service was SO friendly. Kathleen was our guide, and she was the most incredible storyteller - she elevated the entire experience by giving the... More

I went with Wailua Kayak Adventures kayak rental because I found it to be $5 cheaper than the others. However, I did not realize it was the furthest from the river. We had a small hiccup when we arrived and they could not find our reservation. Getting the kayaks took 30 minutes since there was one family in front of... More

Aloha, Thank you for your honest and kind review. As a family owned business with lots of competition its important that we just clarify a few things. We are the cheapest on the river for kayak rentals. Our kayaks are fully equipped meaning we don't charge you $8.00 for a dry bag and $5.00 for a cooler once you arrive.... More

Our tour guide was Judah, who did an excellent job of conducting the tour. We were a group of 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids, age range from 10-16). Most of us were inexperienced kayakers and Judah was patient with us and made the kayaking experience a memorable one. We took the 7am tour, which I would highly recommend.... More

My family of inexperienced kayakers struggled with the kayaking portion, but our wonderful guide was very supportive every step of the way!! The hike can be muddy, so wear old tennis shoes that can get wet rather than water shoes to increase your traction!! Our guide provided everyone with hiking sticks and told us many wonderful stories and answered any... More

Our tour guide was Cathaleen and she did a great job of explaining the area and gave us samples of fruit on the island. It was about a 6 hour day, we were one of the last groups at the falls so it was like having it all to ourselves to swim and play. Would recommend this to families, couples,... More

Wow! Great day on the Wailua River kayaking, hiking and swimming in the waterfall. Cole is a wonderful tour guide and has a great way of sharing his local knowledge, which was very interesting and the children in our group thoroughly enjoyed it. This is on the top of our "fun and easy day" in Kauai things to do. Very... More
