Course length is a challenge.

The course is challenging. FYI red tees are 5853 yds while the gold tees are 4996 yds.
Still very challenging. Greens are family fast and will surprise you.

Superb!

The best municipal course I have played. $48 gets you a wonderful track, stellar views, superb greens, and a steady breeze. Don’t expect much on the amenities front (though the snack bar provides solid fare at reasonable prices). My word, this course....A+

The course was okay, the employees not so much.

The course itself is okay. Not great but not bad for the value. It does provide some nice ocean views. The biggest reason for the low rating is that the person answering the phones and taking care of things on the course is truly unskilled in customer service and was downright insulting. I know this doesn't affect the golf play itself but with having to interact with this person, it puts a damper on the enjoyment of the course. My cart broke down at hole #12 and I never did receive a replacement and when I called to complain again and again, I was told someone would be there within 20 minutes! Like I said, no one ever came. Really didn't make the experience pleasant. But I guess since it is a municipal course, no one cares if a visitor to the island had a problem.

Incredible value and Great views

My son and I played this course as a "warm-up" for Poipu and Princeville and were pleasantly surprised at the high quality, great views and pace of play. This public municipal course is located near the airport and has a number of holes along the ocean. A warm up bucket costs $2 or $4 for a large bucket. I challenge you to find a prettier hole than "17' on any public course except Torrey Pines.

As non residents, we paid $30 in the afternoon, plus a little more for a cart. It was a fun and long course, with flat greens and great views. If you have the time, give this a shot....you won't be disappointed!

So it’s an okay course. Yes it’s only $48 but the municipal course on Maui is much better!
The ocean views are minimal - there are zero latrine facilities that I found on the course.
The best hole on the entire course is 15.
This is a great course for folks who are either left handed or can fade ALOT! Other than that - I’d say it truly middle of the road.

Fantastic deal at this municipal course

Golf in Hawaii with several holes right along the ocean $48? Yes, please!

It's not a resort course so don't expect all the fancy amenities.Bring your own water and tees. No one is loading your clubs into your cart for you, and there's no dress code. But if you want to play golf on a great course and hang with some locals, you'll enjoy this place.

You can walk it or rent a cart. We had a cart to protect us from the sun, but about half the golfers were just walking the course. The pace is casual and there's no marshal, so expect a long round if it's a busy day. Come on a weekday if you can, as weekends are busier as it's primarily locals who golf here.

The resort courses are fun to treat yourself to, but if you want to sneak in another round while on holiday without breaking the bank, Wailua is a good option.

Not having a good time here!

Being pushed by a group of ladies and after the turn no food, not allowed to play just 9. Must pay for all 18 holes. My shoulder went out!

This is a great local course, the staff are friendly, the views great, and even the hotdog at the snack bar was delicious!

First time visitor and enjoyed the community course

The course was in good condition and able to play 18 holes in a reasonable time with no wait between holes. The clubs available for rental were in great condition. Two or three holes you can see the ocean the rest is more inland. Make sure to ask the time that the clubs need to be returned at the end of the day. Cheaper rates after 2pm.

Awesome Golf Experience!
Jun 2019
Nestled on the northern portion of the Garden Isle, Wailua GC is a municipal course with both ocean front and Mountain View’s. Tremendous deal especially for Kama’aina! Each hole is a new and daunting challenge, par threes were difficult but great fun! The ruff is very very thick which made staying in the short stuff a must do. Stay away from the tree lines! Only caution is bring much water. The air is much more humid than on Oahu. Great course, will play again!
