This kayak trip up the Kailua River with a hike to Secret Falls was amazing! Our guide, Kawika, was informational and humorous. He got us all safely up the river and up the muddy trail to the falls with no deaths - always a good thing :) Beautiful scenery all along the way.

Good kayaks, standard backrest quite comfortable once adjusted. Interesting hike to Secret Falls. Guide not extremely knowledgeable regarding flora and fauna but very courteous and helpful.

At $50, this tour was a bargain compared to others. Our tour guide, Dan, was fantastic - really friendly, helpful and patient. The day we had our tour was very hot and it had rained. I wouldn't recommend this for someone unfit because the path to the waterfall was pretty slippery, even at the casual pace we went. That being... More

Although it was easy enough to find and probably could have done without a guide, I was glad we had one because he was so knowledgeable about the nature and history. Also the trip didn't include food but that was nice because it was one area of Hawaii you could save some money on by bringing your own lunch.

My parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and our entire family took this trip. It was challenging for some of us, but so worth it for the beauty. The hike in the jungle and roaring falls were simply breathtaking. I cannot say enough about David, our guide. He was so attentive to everyone in our group. We happened to... More

My fiance and I were led by Forest on a kayak and Secret Falls trip and had a ton of fun. Forest was pure Kauai; you could tell he loved his job and had the time of his life doing it. He didn't bog you down with talking about facts you don't really care about and treated you like a... More

Nice paddling with a good guide. Doable but sometimes challenging hike. We learned about some of the flowers and trees along the way.

This was a 5 to 6 hour day kayaking on the Wailua River. When you go into the narrow part, the lush tropical forest is so beautiful. Then you reach the trailhead and hike about a mile through the forest to a gorgeous waterfall where it is quite refreshing to go in the water. The hike is a bit difficult... More

Since my wife and I enjoy kayaking at home we booked a trip on the Wailua R. with Kayak Wailua. Be careful as there are several similar sounding names in the area. We opted for the pick up and drop off from the ship which was on time. We also opted for the high back seats in the kayak, so... More

My wife and I signed up for a 9:00 AM session of the kayaking and hiking. We were warmly greeted by Kyle, our guide for the day. Kayak Wailua has water shoes available for purchase to wear during your trip. You can also grab a pair of loaner shoes from the wall in the parking lot. If you don't mind... More
