I enjoyed investigating this bridge while my wife was shopping. I had a good time. The bridge is very narrow, so passing other people is a task. If more than one person is crossing, it's a very bouncy bridge. It's worth a quick visit.

This historic bridge is tucked away in the arts town of Hanapepe not too far from Poipu. We were the only ones on the bridge and it swings naturally from our steps. It is very quiet and peaceful here. The bridge has a river underneath...More

Hanapepe is a great town. A throwback to Hawaii's hey day when the sugar plantation was the only gig in town. The art galleries, the indy bookstore, the artisan bakeries and of course, the Swinging Bridge. This town is known for it's Friday night Art...More

This swinging bridge is really nice to see. During my stop in Hanapepe I took the chance to walk over the bridge and it really swings. The wood is really stabby but it did not break ;-).

Walked across this bridge while swaying in the wind over the river. It was fun and the breeze felt great! If your by hanapepe then stop and walk it.

We went to the bridge and enjoyed walking across. I wish there was more information on the bridge's history at the location (there is a little, but not much). We asked a couple store owners close by about the bridge and they couldn't provide much...More

Like everything on Kauai there’s great history and quirkiness. The bridge was fun and picturesque but I wouldn’t make a trip to see it if it wasn’t part of Friday art night.

This beautiful swinging bridge over the river to a lovely levy, which is a good place to walk, is a step back in time. Don’t miss the opportunity to walk across this historical swinging bridge!

We discovered this swinging bridge merely by happenstance as we walked through Kauai's biggest little town. While not a destination in and of itself, a walk across the river is a must do while in Hanapepe. Brace yourself as you waddle across (15 people max)....More

We went on a fairly breezy evening, and there was no doubt that this bridge is suspended from its cables. It was awesome feeling it sway back and forth.
