What a day we had kayaking and hiking to Uluwehi Falls! Brian, our guide, was excellent -- hands down one of the best guides we've ever had on an excursion. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and he makes the trip fun with...More
Well the falls were exquisite. THe kayak was fun. We took are time and our guide never pushed us. The hike is another thing all by itself. It rained the day before the whole day. The trail was muddy but as our excellent guide told...More
Ran into some issues entirely my fault and the owner was able to resolve it quickly. Didn’t end up going on the adventure, but great service is always hard to come by. Highly recommend everyone give there guys a try.
I booked this excursion for my wife and I as part of our honeymoon trip to Kauai. What a waste of time! The kayaking was enjoyable but like others have mentioned, there isn’t anything about the river that’s worth viewing. Our guide Davie is definitely...More
Our tour guide was over an hour late and the only reason he showed up for the tour was due to our persistent calling to find him. When he arrived, no apologies. He also had strong "odors" and seemed half with it. He tried to...More
Somewhat boaring kayak scenery, a total mud-slog up to an average waterfall with lots of tourists taking selfies...sorry I can’t be as enthusiastic as everyone else but giving out five stars for this trip is a bit over the top

The hike to the waterfall was brutally muddy, so prepare proper footwear in advance (or borrow an old pair from the shop...but be warned: the shoes are disgusting)
The waterfall made...More
Loved it! I recommend when you see the pile of walking sticks at the beginning of the hike, pick up one or two! Expect a muddy, slippery and challenging walk. The waterfall is beautiful. Our guide was wonderful.
I'm thinking you could probably rent kayaks and do the river on your own. There is also the Wailua river where you can go kayaking, and if you can be there when the sea is calmer than on our last trip, there is always Napali... More
I'm thinking you could probably rent kayaks and do the river on your own. There is also the Wailua river where you can go kayaking, and if you can be there when the sea is calmer than on our last trip, there is always Napali and Poipu ocean kayaking!
The guide, however, took us to the waterfall, which you would probably never find on your own. We hiked quite a distance through the forest to get to that beautiful spot!
I don't remember what we paid for the half day with the guide, but I'm sure they have a website. Outfitters Kauai, and Boss Frogs rent various sports equipment. We have used them on several of the islands.
