We carry 18 passengers only Our unique design allows our power catamaran to be the only company out of hanalei to get in all the caves ( conditions allowing). Explore secluded beaches, ancient Hawaiian sites, tropical reefs, majestic valleys, sea caves and thousand-foot waterfalls. See where movies like South Pacific, Pirates of the Caribbean, We offer 3 tours per day 6 DAYS a week 2 snorkel tours with lunch and snacks and drinks on the north shore of Hanalei ! Our tours are 4 hours for the snorkel tours and 2 hours for the sight see tours.

Revisiting one of the most beautiful places on earth

Napali Coast Hanalei was a truly magnificent day. The scenery was amazing, the sun was shining most of the time, and the, “rock and roll,” return trip didn’t disappoint as the swells start getting larger in September. We enjoyed all the caves that a power boat can navigate into where sail boats wouldn’t be able to visit. Everyone had our safety in mind and we felt the captain had his boat well in control. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Napali Coast Hanalei Tours when staying on North Shore of Kauai in future years. We happened upon a last minute 2nd honeymoon opportunity when our South Lake Tahoe vacation went up in smoke, was evacuated, and highways closed with 2021 Caldor Fire the week we booked to visit. N CA was a trip we had booked over a year earlier after we couldn’t go in 2020 because of COVID-19. We were trilled to get a booking at last minute timeshare exchange in Princeville, HI while we were already in N CA. The opportunity happened to be on our anniversary week & since we were married on beach of Hanalei Bay, we snagged the inexpensive airfares. We were able to spend on excursions and the staff were very, very appreciative of any tipping for their excellent services. Nice people all! (I probably wouldn’t take small children on this during the cusp months of summer where surf gets rougher.) Also, we snorkeled at Tunnels that is has public beach access, might have gone somewhere new if seas were calmer? We are grateful to have been able to get a spot on the tour for the day we wanted to get away from our resort because they were turning the power off that day. It was a perfect alternative to hanging out at Hanalei Bay! I ended up with GREAT photos and our selfies in the cave turned out darling too.

What a trip!

I would highly recommend this boat trip to anyone wanting to experience the beautiful scenery of the Napli coast. Steve and Tyler were amazing! They made our trip enjoyable, relaxing, fun, and informative! We saw a whale, a pod of spinner dolphins and tons of sea turtles! The snorkeling was incredible - the coral, fish variety, white tip shark, and sea turtles we got to swim with was over my expectations! The views of the scenic coastline were awesome! My favorite part was the captain navigating us into the sea caves even though the waves were on the bigger side. These are experienced professionals! A must do!

Amazing Experience

My husband and I did the afternoon 4 hour Na Pali coast and snorkel tour. It was the highlight of our time in Kauai! Captain Steve and his co-captain (blanking on her name but she was awesome) were fantastic tour guides. I loved Captain Steve's personal touches to every story he told about the coast as well as his  knowledge and understanding of the ocean. He took us through sea caves and gave us a taste of the Na Pali "Rollercoaster Ride." The snorkeling was awesome too! Both of them gave clear instructions about safety and frequently checked on passengers to make sure everyone was feeling OK. In addition to the actual tour, their website explains exactly what you get and gives accurate information about what to expect. We went during a time when Kuhio highway to Hanalei was under construction due to a landslide a few months prior and there was a limited amount of time to get into the area. It was clearly stated on the website along with the time you needed to make the trip. The booking staff did a great job communicating with us about what to expect and was very helpful.  I cannot say enough great things about this tour and company! Definitely recommend!!

Incredible views and fun crew!

Booked for a family of 6 in late June 2021 and had an incredible time. Views were breathtaking and the crew was great. The boat is not one of the zodiaks and makes for a much more comfortable ride. Our youngest was tentative getting in the water for snorkeling but Dave went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and ease him into it. 10/10 would recommend this boat and crew to anyone especially families with children.

Amazing in every way

This was the most amazing experience! Loved everything about it. We were specifically looking for a tour that departed out of Hanalei because were staying on that side of the island and knew it was the most direct access to the coast. Wanted a boat small enough to allow cave entry if ocean conditions allowed but larger than a zodiac! We had my 80 year old mother on the trip with us. I can’t say enough how awesome this company and experience was. If you are looking for an adventure and to experience the beauty of the NaPali Coast that is only one experiences from the ocean, this is the best way to do it! Customer service was friendly and attentive and timely. Check in was easy and they give everyone a wet bag to take care of your stuff. The boat only seats 18. So with the crew 20 persons totally. The crew is amazing. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Felt that they were totally in control the entire time. They had a cooler full of water and sodas. They also had a lite sandwich lunch. But you can bring anything you want to drink or eat too. We recommend eating before boarding or bring an extra snack, because the trip is about 4-5 hours total so you get to eat at the little over half way point when you snorkel at Nualolokai. The views are unmatched! Hard to describe the beauty. We were not able to enter the caves due to ocean conditions but the amazing crew got us up close as much as possible. Plan to get wet on the trip. Open boat conditions. So wear sun shirts, hats etc... but hold on to your hats and glasses! Bring something for warmth and wind breaker. After snorkeling, even thought nice and sunny the trip back was very windy and like being on a roller coaster with a lot of ocean spray. So we got quite chilled. Was thankful to have a long sleeve sweatshirt and windbreaker! I know you think it’s Hawaii. But you are also wet and windy! Launch and departure is right on the shore at the mouth of the Hanalei River shore. So you do have to walk in thigh/waist high water to board and depart. I would do this experience again in a heart beat.

Rude agent on the phone and tour time cut short by 30 minutes.

We took the 2 tour sight seeing tour of the Na Pali Coast. The coast and views itself were amazing and must see. But I would not recommend this tour company for a couple of reasons. First, they never pick up the phone and 8/10 times, it goes to a voice mail. Second, Google maps lists an address in Hanalei, but there is no office or physical location anymore for this company in that location. Third, when they do pick up the call, the lady that answers is rude, curt and lacks a pleasing attitude and is always in a rush to disconnect the phone call without answering any questions. Customer service is seriously lacking.

We booked two tours on separate days and at 3pm local time, they cancelled the tour but at least they issued a prompt refund for this which was great. The 2nd tour happened as planned, and they even let me swap my seat with my wife - but the tour started at 4.30pm and my wife was back in the Hanalei pier by 6pm. So they shaved an entire 1/2 hour from the tour for no reason. While the Na Pali coast itself was amazing indeed - we wished they slowed down a little bit and spent some time in the coast or the caves. Instead it was rushed and for the $$$$ it costs, ending the tour 30 minutes less than scheduled tour time seems to be unethical and cheating the consumer for all the things they promised. One of the couples we met there locally told they went with a different company and they utilized the full tour time on the coast. Overall, 5 stars for the Na Pali coastline itself, but I would not recommend this tour company based on our experience.

We are sorry you had this experience. You did not post any dates you took the tour or the phone calls. Could you please correct this so we may follow up to your allegations? Second you say you booked two tours? When we cancel the tour at 3 pm if its a SS tour at 4.30 it's for Saftey reasons. We would not do a tour if we feel its un safe to take your money. Third if they came back early there must be a reason as someone was very ill since you were not the only guest and did not book a private charter on the vessel which would give you complete control of the time frame, and if another guest was ill due to sea sickness or another medical issue we would, and as well as any other concerned person on the tour would have compassion for the individual who might have been very ill. Money is not the reason we have done tours for thousands of guest including singer , movie starts including most recently Billie Eilish. We take your accusations very serious on calling us" Unethical and "cheating the consumer "very serious and if your statements are true we invite you to publish your actual name and phone number so we may contact you to get to the real truth on this statements that you have made. We have never sen a review like this from any one in 30 years.

Na Pali experience of a lifetime

Such an AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Our family of 4 were awestruck! If you are staying on the North Shore of Kauai we highly recommend this Na Pali Coast tour! It departed from Hanalei Bay. Captain Don did a great job navigating - seas, rocks and even a cave!!! We were so stoked we had the opportunity to experience the caves - the captain and the conditions were right! My family and I felt safe the entire time out on the water. David was the first mate and we loved him! He set expectations at the beginning of the tour and provided a knowledgeable narrative at each stop along the coast. David checked multiple times to make sure everyone was comfortable, and he was able to answer questions anyone on the tour asked. David provided his firsthand experiences from his childhood when he would hike the trails and inform us of the wildlife in the wilderness reserve. Our boat was supposed to be full but 2 missed the boarding time. The boat accommodated the passengers well. We particularly enjoyed the selection of music that was played on the tour, especially on the trip back to the bay. It is a much more effective use of time to depart from Hanalei if you are staying on the North Shore. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this tour again on a return trip to Kauai. Thanks for a memorable trip Captain Don & Dave!

Loved the scenic Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride!

A great experience for our family of 5! If you are staying on the North Shore of Kauai I’d highly recommend this Na Pali Coast tour! It departed from Hanalei Bay. Getting into the boat only requires wading through waist deep water and climbing a boat ladder. Captain Don did a great job navigating - seas, rocks and even 2 caves!!! We were thrilled we had the opportunity to experience the caves - this is a last minute decision of the captain and the conditions were right! My husband, three teens and I felt safe the entire time out on the water. David was the first mate and we loved him! He set expectations at the beginning of the tour and provided a knowledgeable narrative at each stop along the coast. David checked multiple times to make sure everyone was comfortable and he was able to answer questions anyone on the tour asked. Our boat was a full tour with 20 people. The boat accommodated the passengers well. We particularly enjoyed the selection of music that was played on the tour, especially on the trip back to the bay. I saw a lot of tours departing from other areas of the island when I was researching options. It is a much more effective use of time to depart from Hanalei if you are staying on the North Shore. I’d wouldn’t hesitate to do this tour again on a return trip to Kauai. Thanks for a memorable sail Captain Don & Dave!

A Must for Any Visitor to Kauai

Captain Steve seems to truly love his job and he made our tour highly enjoyable. From the Hawaiian music, to historic accounts of the NaPali Coast the captain and his first mate gave us an experience like none other. We entered caves with ease, rode the Hawaiian Roller Coaster & had a blast. I would highly recommend NaPali Coast Tours over any other boat tour, you can see the coast with anyone but I cant imagine it being more fun than with Captain Steve!

The Perfect Tour

This tour was the ideal experience for exploring the North Shore of Kauai. Captain Steve and his son were so knowledgeable about everything, from the names of the waterfalls to the legends the cliffs and valleys hold. I’ve only done a tour like this once before, and it was on a zodiac boat, which was bumpy and not as enjoyable. This boat was the ideal size to handle the waves, as well as fit into sea caves along the Napoli Coast. Captain Steve was an excellent driver, and we never felt unsafe, even inside caves with big waves. I would highly recommend this family-owned and operated company for your next boat tour.
