Beautiful beach!!

Amazing place to go for a long walk or swim. We walked out on the pier and saw a turtle swimming in the surf.

This is the perfect beach to stay all day. It's a long beach but framed in by beautiful mountains and incredible views everywhere you look. It's also close to great food options and shopping. It's a must see.

This beach offers a variety of water based activities. It is a large calm beach, with some tide pools. The sand is white and the sunsets are a nice view from here. Grab food in Hanalei at Tiki Man Pizza, Babba's, Chicken in a Barrel and have lunch or dinner on the beach. They also have a nice pier there... More

Very busy, limited to no parking, tons of screaming kids jumping off the pier. I did grab a couple of neat photos but only stayed about 5 mins. Seemed to be a favorite with the locals but too much going on for me. Didn't seem relaxing at all to me.

A beach by any other name....there are lifeguards there until about 5:00 pm.! Parking fills up fast because it's located near a hiking trail. It's just so beautiful an area. You can just sit at the beach or play in the water. We stood for about 45 minutes watching a local fisherman net fish from the rocks. You'll love it.

Hanalei has really changed. Please visitors be patient and stop being pushy. This is not the Mainland. Be courteous with Aloha. I sincerely don't like going to Hanalei beach much any more.

Really a nice place to spend a day. Any day. The Blackpot side (by the pier) is busier and has more locals. The farther around this long bay from that end takes you to quieter and quieter areas.... and there are two or three separate beach parks (with restrooms) along the stretch. Find a place you like, and stick your... More

This is a great beach to hang out at & people watch. There are lots of people and boats coming & going , but never really seemed crowded. It's not very deep for most of it but also a nice reef for the waves to break if you want to do a little surfing too!

One of the better beaches among the many on Kauai with convenient parking and extensive sand. Always busy and not a place to get away from people but very good for swimming, surfboarding, and paddle boating.

We LOVED Hanalei Beach. WE had been to Anini Beach which was a great introduction to the ocean for my grandkids (age 9 to 10 months) but Hanalie Beach is the best. It has wonderful waves so the kids could learn to boogie board and body surf, but was all sandy underneath (no coral to worry about). We spent 5... More
